Today will be the third and final flight for the WSOPC Event #17: $1,700 Main Event. This will be every player in Pompano's last shot to put chips in a bag during the biggest tournament of the week. A massive $1,000,000 prize pool guarantee sits for every player lucky enough to sit in the money. A total of 544 entrants so far have made their way to play this tournament and only 61 of those first two flights remain.

Leading the way of yesterday's flight is Jeremy Joseph who sits with 818,000. The WSOPC ring winner from New York, has spent the better part of 18 years grinding on the tournament circuit. Sitting behind him in the counts is Billy Papadopoulos (672,000) who will be hunting for his first WSOPC ring. Hailing from Massachusetts originally, he has been gunning for his first title for a couple of years, even having a deep run in the 2019 WSOP Seniors Event. A player who knows all to well pressure on the big stage is Darryll Fish (587,000), rounding out the podium. The West Palm Beach champion recovers from his no bag the day prior by sitting as the third biggest stack of the flight.

Day 1B Top Ten Chip Counts

  1. Jeremy Joseph - 818,000
  2. Billy Papadopoulos - 672,000
  3. Darryll Fish - 587,000
  4. Raymond Mancini - 554,000

  8. Carlos Bermudez - 458,000
  9. Conor Hannan - 445,000
  10. Art Peacock - 441,000

Many players are expected to fire again or for the first time. The week has already seen players like Eric Siegel, Maurice Hawkins, Loni Hui, Steven "Cuz" Buckner, and William "Billy" Kopp play in the room and time will tell to see just who makes it into this event.

Players will begin the tournament with 40,000 in chips and blinds last 40 minutes each. A 15-minute break will occur at the conclusion of every three levels. After Level 9 there will be a 60-minute dinner break. Once the players return, they will play another three levels before registration closes. They will then play until the end of Level 17 or until just 10% of the field remains. This is a single re-entry tournament so upon busting, players will have one more chance before they have to move on to the next flight.
