The biggest prize pool of the week out here at the WSOPC in Pompano Beach sees it's second of three flights begin today at 11:00 AM. All the players' will come in with their hopes for sizable money, good stories, and of course the Main Event title and ring. 

A total of 254 entrants came out to yesterday's flight. From that starting number only 39 clawed back some piece of the prize pool into their pockets and 26 players still have a shot on Day 2 for the Lion's share of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. 

Leading the way is Kharlin Sued who sits with 910,000. From cashes up in Atlantic City, going all the way down to Las Vegas, his $1,732,986 in lifetime earnings puts him as a force to be reckoned with down here in Pompano Beach. He now sits in the lead, hunting to take home his first WSOPC ring. Also bagging is Scott Heiligman, who sits with 810,000. Rounding out the podium is one of the most experienced players in the field, James Calderaro (pictured) (790,000). The WSOP bracelet winner has cashed for $6,199,028 over the course of his 20 years on the tournament felt.

This stop has already seen many talented players come out of the woodwork. Chris Conrad, Matt Glantz, Mitch Garshofsky, Raminder Singh, Corel Theuma, and 16-time WSOPC ring winner Maurice Hawkins. Each one of them will be looking to take down the lion’s share of the massive prize pool. 

Players will begin the tournament with 40,000 in chips and blinds last 40 minutes each. A 15-minute break will occur at the conclusion of every three levels. After Level 9 there will be a 60-minute dinner break. Once the players return, they will play another three levels before registration closes. They will then play until the end of Level 17 or until just 10% of the field remains. This is a single re-entry tournament so upon busting, players will have one more chance before they have to move on to the next flight.
