Ayaka Muraishi leads Day 1A

The first of three opening-day flights in the $1,700 Main Event is in the books with 91 entries to kick things off at Horseshoe Las Vegas. 

When all was said and done, a total of 23 players bagged chips to move on to Day 2 on Sunday for a shot at a massive prize pool! The guarantee is $500,000, but the last Main Event ballooned to just over $1 million.

Leading the field is Ayaka Muraishi sitting on almost 11 starting stacks with 439,000. Alex Massola sits in second with 305,000 and two-time bracelet winner and Circuit champion David Jackson rounds out the top three with 250,000.

Familiar faces moving on include Eric Baldwin, Shundan Xiao and David Goodman.

The Main Event has two more starting flights to play through. Flight B begins at 11 am Saturday, and Flight C begins at 11 am Sunday.

Players that make it through one of the starting flights will return for Day 2 on Monday.
