Michael Perrone Leads Final 8 Players into the Last Day of the Choctaw Circuit Main
Its the moment we have all been waiting for! After two thrilling starting flights, 944 players came through the doors of the Choctaw Events Center to compete for their share of the $1,430,130 prize pool in Event #14: $1,700 No Limit Hold'em Main Event. By the end of Day 2, only eight players remained, each of them now focused on the massive first-place prize of $237,307, the gold ring, and the prestige of having their name immortalized on the banner in the rafters of the Choctaw events center.
Michael Perrone (7,135,000) enters the final table with the chip lead. Zak Baron, who spent much of Day 2 with the chip lead, will look to mount a comeback as he chases his first WSOP Circuit ring. Perrone, a previous bracelet winner, will be looking to capitalize on his position and claim his first Circuit Main Event as he battles for the huge first-place payday.
Phil Bertram (5,595,000) sits in second, with Lawrence Wayne (5,200,000) in third. The remaining players are closely stacked, with Vincent Pratt (4,765,000), Robert Peacock (4,040,000), and Ben Anderson (3,790,000) all poised to make a run. The short stack at the start of Day 3 will be Vincent Rubianes (3,175,000), but with over 26 big blinds, he still has plenty of room to maneuver and fight for the title.
