Michael Lail wins first WSOPC ring and $33,799
Michael Lail entered the final table as one of the least-experienced players at the table but long on patience. Fifteen hours after the event started and a back-and-forth heads-up match that saw the lead exchanged multiple times, Lail emerged victorious to claim his first WSOPC ring and $33,799.
"It feels great," Lail said. "It was a very long for day for me. I've been up since 5 am this morning, yesterday morning. It's been close to 24 hours for me."
Lail defeated Dale Humphrey heads-up and said, "He was tough, he was hard to beat," Lail said. "He kind of got on tilt there at the end and my hands started holding up."
"I noticed the players that had rings," he said. "I was worried about them."
