Rivera Bags Chip Lead After Day 1A of Main Event

Day 1A of the Main Event was a good one as 186 entries played their way down to 21 before the night ended. A very long bubble made the night go a bit longer than expected as it took two hours to determine the 28 players in the money.
Jorge Rivera bagged the chip lead with 762,000 as he gained a large amount in the final couple of levels to take the lead. Max Pinnola (pictured) also had a strong close to the day as he finished in 2nd place with 732,000.
The top five included Frank Russo with 635,000, Michael O'Malley with 615,000 and Ian O'Hara rounded out the top five counts with 591,000.
Other notables such as Adel Jo, Toby Boas and Zhen Cai also made their way into Day 2.
