James West wins Seniors event for $19,251
The Seniors event kicked 12 hours earlier on Sunday and it was a long march to the final table. But once the final table kicked off, it was a sprint to the end with the final table wrapping up in around two hours.
James West said, "It's my first ring. I've been chasing it for several years." West is a local businessman that plays when the WSOP Circuit comes to town.
West picked up his fifth overall WSOP cash and blew his highest cash out of the water. Previously, it was $918 from a 2019 WSOPC event.
"The final table went really well, I had a good time," he said. "The cards just kind of ran my way."
West plans on taking a few days off before playing again. "It was a long but good day. I'm going to play the Main Event for sure," he said.
