Ben Ludlow Leads 38 Day 1A Survivors
As was often the case on Day 1A, Ben Ludlow had the most chips when players bagged for the night with 768,000 of them.
In fact, it was Ludlow who sent everyone packing, either into a bag for Day 2 or out of the room with nothing. On the second round in hand-for-hand play, he called an all-in on the button with pocket Jacks, eliminating Chris Conrad in 39th place with 38 making it into the money and Day 2.
Among those bagging was 5-time Circuit Ring Winner Jarod Minghini (303,000) who had the painful experience earlier in the day of finishing second to Daniel Lowery in Event 13 but decided to walk it off by late registering the Main Event and must be thankful he did.
Other Ring Winners moving on to Sunday's Day 2 include Jasthi Kumar (5), Victor Paredes (2), and Ben Underwood (1). Two-time WSOP Bracelet winner Marco Johnson also moved on, third in chips (502,000).
Day 2 will restart on Sunday at 1pm.
