Early Bagging for Remaining 24, Alex Andrei Leads
Today was fast. 181 players started and after a one-hand bubble, we didn't even make the dinner break. Play has been halted at 24, with the players bagged, tagged and out in time for a good night in London.
Alex Andrei ended as the chip leader, but it's tight at the top.
So close are Martin Bader and Kevin Gu behind Andrei, that under two big blinds separate them, and many experienced players lurk in the average stack zone waiting for their opportunity.
Among them are French crusher Sylvain Loosli (2,215,000), start-of-day leader Daniel Wong (1,435,000) and WPT Nottingham champion Iaran Lightbourne (1,410,000).
In the money
A total of 1,018 entries generated a prize pool of £1,018,000. Prizes began to be awarded after Aria Sharkeshik was eliminated on the bubble in 152nd place, starting with the £2,200 mincashes and rising to £6,250 - the prize the first to bust tomorrow will receive.
Of course, no one wants to finish 24th; the longest-lasting will be rewarded with serious money, and the winner a coveted WSOPC ring.
