Grupp and Deeb Atop the Final Table of Turning Stone Circuit Main Event
The WSOP Circuit $1,700 Main Event wraps up Monday with nine final table hopefuls all with their eye on the $275,916 first prize and the WSOP Circuit champions ring.
Leading the way is Kyle Grupp of Clarence, New York. With just under $4,000 over four career WSOP cashes, he’s already locked up his largest-ever live tournament score and could be in for a life and poker career-changing cash.
At the opposite end of the spectrum is Shaun Deeb, who enters in second place. The well-known and tremendously successful pro already have five WSOP bracelets, and millions of dollars in live and online cashes over his illustrious career, but a WSOP Circuit ring is one piece of hardware he’s never won. That could change today.
With 81 and 62 big blinds respectively, those two have by far the largest stacks, which could lead to an interesting dynamic at the final table, as the remaining seven players all have between 18 and 34 big blinds, lumping them tightly together with the serious pay jumps lying ahead on Monday.

Among that group is another highly successful pro in Matthew Wantman, who despite over 100 WSOP cashes and several million in live tournament earnings, has never claimed a piece of WSOP jewelry. Could today be his day to finally achieve that goal?
One player whose goal that will definitely be is Paul Ross. He’s had a tremendously successful, yet disappointing series here at Turning Stone with a pair of runner-up finishes along with two other cashes in side events. Nothing but first place, or potentially outlasting Deeb for a friendly side bet will likely satisfy him.
The talent at the table runs throughout, as there are also a pair of Circuit ring winners still in the mix in Patrick White and Gilberto Taveras, who would certainly love to add to their WSOP jewelry collection.
And that’s not event to mention the accomplishment of previously lesser-known players such as Cindy Spier, Giyeon Han, and Raymond Ezzie, who’ve made this final table by showing their tremendous skill and dedication to the game. They’ll be names to watch out for in the future and taking home the title would boost that claim infinitely.
The action all gets underway at noon with blinds of 50,000/100,000 with a 100,000 big blind ante.
