The Kraken Makes A Major Fold
Following an early position raise from Pierce McKellar, Erick "Kraken" Argote three-bet from the button and was met with a short stack shove from Paul Richardson in the small blind. Unfazed by the preflop aggression, McKellar moved all-in himself. Argote entered the tank, asking McKellar if he had pocket kings.
Argote agonized over the decision, but ultimately made the fold. After seeing McKellar reveal pocket aces, Argote jumped to his feet, slammed down his folded pocket queens. and exclaimed "Great fold!". Once the the scattered chips from Argote's enthusiasm were collected, McKellar's pocket aces held against Richardson's A-9 offsuit.
Making a terrific fold and protecting his massive chip stack, Argote currently sits as one of the biggest stack remaining in the Circuit Main Event.
