Hrabec Brings Overall Chip Lead Into Day 2 of Harrah's Pompano Beach Main Event

Harrah's Pompano Beach Main Event Day 2 Chip Leader Roman Hrabec

Following three exciting opening flights of play in the Harrah’s Pompano Beach $1,700 Main Event that saw 1,015 entries build a prizepool of $1,537,725, 102 hopefuls return Sunday to play their way closer to the final table and a massive $266,186 first prize.

Day 1B Chip leader Roman Hradec of Czechia returns as the overall chip leader with 967,000 chips. He’s followed by the other two opening flight chip leaders, Fabian Gumz of Germany who brought 920,000 chips forward from Day 1C, and Floridian David Moreno who bagged 878,000 on Day 1A.

Other notables remaining in the field include WSOP bracelet winner and six-time Circuit ring winner Arkady Tsinis, who bagged a top ten stack of 630,000, Chad Lipton (545,000), who won the Monster Stack event last week for $60,063 and his first Circuit ring, last year’s runner-up in this event, James Calderaro (365,000), and many more WSOP bracelet and Circuit ring winners among the 102 players returning Sunday.

As each opening flight played into the money, the players won’t have a bubble to worry about Sunday as they play toward the final table and that huge prize money up top, along with the WSOP Circuit ring and a seat into the WSOP Tournament of Champions this summer in Las Vegas.

Play is scheduled to go until the end of level 27, starting midway through level 16, at the point where Day 1A ended. Once levels 16 and 17 are completed, levels will extend to 60-minutes in length and breaks will take place after every second level, with a dinner break slotted in after level 23.
