Omar Eljach wins the WSOP Europe Main Event
Jonathan Pastore raised to 1.8 million and Omar Eljach three-bet to 5.8 million. Pastore thought for a moment and then decided to move all in for 32 million. Eljach snap-called and the cards were on their backs.
Pastore was the player at risk and very much behind with ace-high, needing to find a miracle or his Main Event run would be over. Eljach was five cards away from winning his first gold bracelet holding two queens.
The dealer fanned the flop and while Eljach remained ahead with queens, Pastore paired his eight to give him some more outs.
The hit the turn and now Pastore lost some outs with three spades on the board since Eljach was holding the only spade between the two of them.
The completed the board on the river and was the last card to hit the felt at the World Series of Poker Europe, making Eljach the newest Main Event champion.
Pastore settled for second place and an impressive €852,949 for his deep run.
