Hero Fold - That's My Bui!
Julian Herold bet 2,500 from middle position and was met with a raise to 7,000 from Quoc Bui in the hijack. Action folded back to Herold who made a four-bet of 20,000.
The flop of allowed Herold to continue for 15,000 which was called by Bui. Both players checked the on the turn which put trips on the board.
The completed the board and Herold moved all in to put Bui at risk for 42,000. Bui held his hands behind his head, slumped back in the chair and slithered down until he was almost horizontal. Bui looked at his hand a couple of times to see if his cards have changed which they didn't.
After five minutes in the tank some of his table mates were getting restless, which Bui sensed and called the clock on himself. When the tournament director explained that he had 30 seconds to make a decision Bui looked shocked and tried to negotiate for a 60 second countdown.
With only a second remaining he announced fold and begged Herold to show his hand. Herold turned over and Bui screamed "Yes!" and slammed down his folded to the disbelief of the table. Herold asked "Why didn't you get it in preflop!?" Bui chuckled and is relieved to still be in the tournament.
