Emanuele De Lemmi Leads Final 12 in WSOP Europe Mini Main Event

In just 11 hours the field of 215 hopefuls on Day 2 of the World Series of Poker Europe Event #3: €1,350 Mini Main Event dropped down to 12 players going into Day 3 on Friday at 2:00 p.m.

Bagging up the lead is Italy's Emanuele De Lemmi (pictured) with 21,250,000, good for 43 big blinds. He is followed by Dennis Magro (20,125,000) and Stefan Schoss (19,950,000) to make up the top three stacks.

Dorian Melchers (10,475,000) has two WSOP Circuit rings and Clement Cure (8,800,000) has one, but all remaining 12 players are in search of their first ever WSOP gold bracelet.

Of the massive €1,631,340 prize pool, the remaining 12 players are all guaranteed €13,353 as well as a seat into the €10,350 WSOP Europe Main Event next week. First place will pay €245,319 and the top three spots are all guaranteed six figures.

A breakdown of the prize pool can be found here.

Day 2 Action

As soon as cards were in the air at 2:00 p.m. chips were flying. The field dropped fast and the path to crowning yet another WSOP champion was becoming clear. Halim Kara started the day as the chip leader and maintained a stack until late in the day, only to lose a flip with ace-jack against the pocket sevens of De Lemmi, finishing in 22nd place.

Schoss bagged a top three stack and that all began when he picked up aces early in the day against Gab Yong Kim. This gave him room to maneuver and he now has a shot at a six-figure payday.

Choi also found himself in the thick of things making a big hero call early in the day on a very wet board. His instincts were correct and he was able to battle to make the final day and maybe bring a bracelet back to Korea.

Familiar faces that made Day 2 but fell short of the big money included the likes of Shaun Deeb, Allen Kessler, Martin Kabrhel, Anson Tsang, Gaspare Sposato, and Matthew Wantman, just to name a few.

Cards will be in the air at 2:00 p.m. and the live reporting team will be on site to relay all of the action, so stay locked in on WSOP.com.
