Max Young Leads Into Day 2 of the High Roller; The Mayor is Still in Town
Day 1 of the Harrah's Cherokee World Series of Poker Circuit High Roller is in the books with just 14 players remaining from 205 entries.
Leading the way is six-time WSOP Circuit champion Max Young with 1,035,000, closely followed by three-time WSOP bracelet winner and four-time Circuit champion Shankar Pillai with 1,030,000, and three-time WSOP Circuit champion Matt Higgins rounds off the top three with 760,000 chips.
The rest of the field is also stacked with the likes of Marshall White (4 rings), Stephan Nussrallah (2 rings), James Anderson (1 bracelet and 1 ring), Bradley Anderson (1 bracelet) and Angela 'The Mayor Jordison (1 key to the city).
All remaining players are guaranteed a payout of $5,672, with $100,234 up top for the winner, along with a gold WSOP Circuit ring and a seat into the Tournament of Champions in July 2023 in Las Vegas.
Day 2 starts up at 1:00 p.m. on Monday and will play down to a winner.
