Sam Washburn Wins a Race For Most of the Chips
From the button, Sam Washburn opens with a raise to 275,000. Scott Stewart reraises to 900,000.
"Why so much?" Washburn asks.
"No comment," Stewart says.
Washburn tanks for a bit, then decides to make it 1,800,000.
"You ask me why so much then you raise me?" Stewart asks. "What kind of shenanigans is that?"
"I decline to answer at this moment," Washburn says laughing.
"That's a good answer," Stewart replies. Stewart takes a sip of beer and moves all in, Washburn quickly calls.
The flop comes down and that gives Washburn a straight draw. The turn is the and that completes his straight, leaving Stewart drawing dead. The river is the and that's it. Washburn takes down the monster pot, raking in most of the chips in play with it. With that hand, Stewart is left with just 70,000 chips.
Sam Wasburn - 11,800,000 (118bb)
Scott Stewart - 70,000 (>1bb)
