Koray Aldemir Holds Chip Lead in Heads Up Match Against Adrian Mateos

Koray Aldemir has the chip lead in the heads up match heading into Day 5 of Event #33: $1,500 Summer Solstice No-Limit Hold'em. Aldemir has 7,515,000 and Adrian Mateos is not far behind with 6,280,000. Aldemir finished in the chip lead on Day 2 and now he leads the final two into Day 5.

Players returned today with 17 remaining, all in the money. Kathy Liebert was the first casualty of the day, going out in 17th place ($15,874). Also among those eliminated today were Jason Wheeler, who finished in 14th place ($19,943), Chris Moorman, who went out in 13th place ($19,943), and Jon Turner, who finished in fifth place ($98,617). 

Aldemir and Mateos will return tomorrow at 12 p.m. to continue heads-up play until a winner is determined. The first-place finisher will receive $409,171 in addition to the coveted gold bracelet.
