Day 1B Begins at Noon
The last of two starting flights in the $1,675 Main Event at the Choctaw Casino Resort is just a little over an hour away.
After yesterday's opener drew 601 entrants, the 2016 Main Event could surpass last year's field of 1,353, which generated a more than $2,000,000 prize pool. The field is already on pace to crush this event's $1,000,000 guarantee.
Players in Day 1B will be looking to join the 78 players who advanced from Day 1A for Sunday's Day 2 restart. Craig Varnell finished as the Day 1A chip leader with 441,000. Varnell was one of two players to finish above the 400,000 chip mark Friday.
Others advancing from Day 1A include Daniel Lowery, Kevin Eyster, DJ MacKinnon, Mina Greco, and Cory Waaland. Complete chip counts from Day 1A are available in the "reports" tab above.
As was the case yesterday, players in Day 1B will play 16 levels, including 15 40-minute levels and a final one hour level. There will be a one hour dinner break after level nine.
Registration is open through the start of Level 13 and players are allowed one re-entry.
Surviving players from Day 1B will join those from Day 1A on Sunday for a noon restart.
