The Bicycle Main Event Day 2 to Kick Off at Noon

Good morning from The Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. This morning marks the beginning of Day 2 of the $1,675 WSOP Circuit Main Event where 120 of the 629 starters will return to unbag their chips at noon local time. Players are allowed to enter directly into Day 2, up until the start of play. Because of this, the prizepool will be posted after the final numbers are in.

Matthew Herrera topped the Day 1A field amassing a 240,500 stack. Herrera comes into Day 2 third in chips. Yesterday, Roland Isrealashvili topped the Day 1B flight with 252,000 and will come in first in chips today. Coming in second in chips and rounding out the top three is Jose Mendoza with 243,000.

A few familiar faces and notables near the top of the counts are: Craig Varnell (208,000), Neil Scott (207,000), 2-time WSOP bracelet winner Tuan Le (177,000), Valentin Vornicu (165,500), and record holder 9-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Alex Masek (116,500).

Blinds will start at 1,500/3,000 with a 500 ante today.  Day 2 is scheduled to play 10 60-minute levels and action should conclude around midnight. The money bubble will likely burst within the first few hours of play and it's possible that we may also reach the final table of nine by the end of the day. The surviving Day 2 players will return to play Day 3 tomorrow at noon. The last player standing will earn the gold ring and a seat into the 2016 WSOP Global Casino Championship.

Full chip counts are available on the Reports Tab above.
