Welcome to the Final Table of the 2015 WSOPE Main Event
Kevin MacPhee starts the WSOPE Main Event Final Table with a commanding lead
After four tournament days and more than 23 levels of play, the World Series of Poker Europe €10,600 Main Event has whittled down its field of 313 entrants to the last six hopefuls. Kevin MacPhee holds a commanding lead with 5,015,000 chips, and Andrew "luckychewy" Lichtenberger follows in second place with 2,135,000.
MacPhee has sweet memories of Berlin after winning the Main Event of the European Poker Tour in 2010 for a career-best score of €1,000,000, and he scooped a WSOP braclet earlier this year in Las Vegas, winning the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em Turbo (Event #56). Lichtenberger is still searching for his first bracelet; he has one WSOP Circuit ring to his name and $2,033,897 in WSOP cashes.
JC Alvarado bagged up 1,070,000 chips for the final showdown, appearing at his third WSOP final table. The remaining finalists include three short stacks, of which Kilian Kramer stands out after already having finished 18th in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas this summer. He comes into the final with 435,000 chips while David Lopez of Spain has 520,000. Last but not least, Felix Bleiker will likely be in push/fold mode with 215,000 chips when play resumes at 12:00 p.m. local time in the Spielbank Berlin.
All players have locked up €130,000 for their efforts, and the winner will take home the coveted gold bracelet, the title of WSOPE Main Event Champion, and the top prize of €883,000. Action recommences with 39:53 minutes left in Level 24. Blinds are 15,000/30,000 with a running ante of 5,000.
