JONATHAN NECKAR LEADS DAY TWO AT HARVEYS LAKE TAHOE
Day 1B of the Harveys Tahoe Main Event is complete. Today’s turnout was almost twice as high as Day 1A, as 252 players took their seats today. Only 51 survived and bagged chips at the end of the night, led by Johnny Neckar with 299,500.
With Day 1A’s 138 runners, the Main Event attracted a total of 390 entries, forming a prize pool of $585,000. Forty-five players will be paid, each earning at least $2,644. The winner will walk away with $128,699, as well as a Circuit ring and a free entry in the National Championship at Caesars Atlantic City in the spring.
Among the Day 1B survivors were Dan Owen, who finished in 32nd place at the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas in July, and Austin Buchanan, who is currently at the top of the Circuit points leaderboard.
Neckar is the overall chip leader after both Day 1 flights. He is followed by Joey Weissman, who finished Day 1A with 267,000.
Day 2 begins at noon on Sunday with a combined field of 82 players. The average stack is 95,000. Play is scheduled for ten 60-minute levels.
