HORSESHOE COUNCIL BLUFFS CIRCUIT PREVIEW

The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Horseshoe Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs, Iowa. (September 13, 2022) - The 2022/23 World Series of Poker Circuit tour continues Thursday with the fourth stop of the Circuit season. In total, 13 gold ring events will be held during 11 days of poker action at the Council Bluffs Circuit stop.

The series will kick off Thursday, September 15th at noon with Event #1: $250 Double Stack No-Limit Hold'em. Later the same day, at 5:00 p.m., Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty makes way. Both tournaments are scheduled as two-day competitions.

One of the more anticipated events of the series will have cards in the air Friday at noon. The $400 No-Limit Hold'em Multi Flight event always generates a large starting field, and the last Council Bluffs Circuit stop was no different with no less than 563 players, yielding a total prizepool of $185,790.

The marquee event of the series will get underway the following Friday. The $1,700 Main Event has two starting flights: September 23rd and 24th at 12:00 p.m. Nick Burris took down the WSOP Circuit Main Event at Council Bluffs in 2019 and will sit as the reigning champion until this year’s Main event concludes on September 25.

Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2023 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
