Thunder Valley Circuit starts Thursday and features 12 events with over $1 million in guaranteed prize money.
Lincoln, California (11 Jan 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to Thunder Valley Casino on Thursday and will run until January 24. The second Circuit stop of the year will feature 12 events with over $1 million in guaranteed prize money.
The series will start out strong with one of the more anticipated events of the series, The $400 Opener. The $400 No-Limit Hold’em event features $250,000 in guaranteed prize money and is stretched out over four starting flights. Flight one starts on Thursday, followed by two flights on Friday and Flight D starting Saturday, January 11th. Other highlights on the schedule include the $400 Monster Stack event (Jan 19) and the $3,250 High Roller (Jan 20).
The players participating in the Main will be competing for a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. The Main Event has two starting flights: January 21th and 22th at 11:00 a.m. Jamie Haletky took down the WSOP Circuit Main Event at Thunder Valley Casino in 2020 and will sit as the reigning champion until this year’s Main event concludes, on January 24.
Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2022 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2022 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
