POTAWATOMI CIRCUIT STARTS THURSDAY

10 September 2019 (Milwaukee) - The World Series of Poker Circuit has already completed 4 of the 35 stops on the 2019-2020 schedule. The next stop lands in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the fourth-ever Circuit at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino which joined the WSOP scene in 2017. Up for grabs at the Midwest property will be 13 gold ring events, two Global Casino Championship berths and an expected six-figure first prize that heads to the Main Event champion.

Thursday, September 12th, marks the first day of the Potawatomi Circuit and features a two-day ring event starting at 11:00 a.m.

Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em is scheduled as a four-day endeavor with four separate starting flights. The multi-flight event allows unlimited re-entry during the registration period and features a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. Event #7: The Monster Stack was left without a guarantee the first time around, but now returns with a $100,000 prize pool minimum. Event #8: $1,125 No-Limit Hold'em is a two-day event that holds unlimited re-entries for its $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. 

Lastly, the $1,700 Main Event, which begins Friday, September 20th, carries a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000, along with two separate starting flights. The Main Event's conclusion on Monday, September 23rd will bring a conclusion to the Milwaukee-area Circuit.

The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2020 Global Casino Campionship. There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prize pool, as well as a coveted gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament. More information on the Global Casino Championship leaderboard can be found on WSOP.com.

The last Main Event held at Potawatomi was taken down by Michael Hudson. The 32-year-old bested a star-studded final table to capture his first WSOP gold ring along with $207,159 and a seat into the 2019 Global Casino Championship. The other GCC seat given out during the series went to the Casino Champion, Ed Veith who ended with 102.5 points to secure his seat.
