Global Casino Championship 2019

For the fifth consecutive year, Harrah's Cherokee will host the WSOP Global Casino Championship. Harrah's Cherokee offers a beautiful backdrop for this annual prestigious tournament, set against the picturesque Smoky Mountains of North Carolina.

The 2019 Global Casino Championship is scheduled for August 6-8.

QUALIFYING FOR THE GCC

The Global Casino Championship is an exclusive, invitation-only tournament. There is a minimum prize pool of $1,000,000, most players receive free entries. For each Circuit stop this season, the Main Event winner and the Casino Champion each receive a free seat. In addition, the top 50 players on the season leaderboard (domestic US tour only) earn free entries. With 12 international and 29 US stops, there will be an estimated 132 free qualifiers.

2018 WSOP CIRCUIT LEADERBOARD

Every automatic qualifier will receive accommodations for three nights at Harrah's Cherokee. (Automatic qualifiers from International Circuit stops will receive a fourth night.) Each player who qualifies for a free seat will also receive a $500 travel stipend.

DIRECT BUY-IN

Players who meet certain criteria are eligible to buy into the Global Casino Championship directly. The entry fee is $10,000, and it's rake-free (i.e. the full $10,000 goes to the prize pool) - this amount is added to the $1,000,000 base prizepool.

CIRCUIT SERIES AT HARRAH’S CHEROKEE

In keeping with recent tradition, the 2019 Global Casino Championship will be held in the midst of a Circuit series for the next season. The Circuit series will run August 1-12, with the GCC running from August 6-8. The stop will feature the standard ring events which will offer one of the first opportunities to earn points toward the 2020 Global Casino Championship.
