Kyle Cartwright (pictured) moved into a tie with Mark "Pegasus" Smith for all-time WSOP Circuit championships with five Monday at IP Biloxi. Cartwright has accomplished the task in just 16 months, while Smith won his first in 2009. Throughout this Circuit season Smith and Cartwright will be battling it out to see who's the first to get number seven, but it will all be in good fun as both are recognized as two of the nicest players on the Circuit. “I couldn’t be more pleased it was him.” Smith said of Cartwright joining him at the top. "He is not only a really nice guy but a wonderful player. I’m flattered to be in such good company."



KYLE CARTWRIGHT WINS RECORD-TYING FIFTH WSOP CIRCUIT CHAMPIONSHIP

Kyle Cartwright won the IP Casino Resort and Spa Main Event in Biloxi, MS Monday, August 20. The 29-year-old pro now has five WSOP Circuit wins in less than two years. First prize in IP Biloxi's Main Event was $107,994 and Carwright was awarded a seat to the season-ending WSOP National Championship.



JOHN DOLAN RECORDS FIRST AND FOURTH PLACE FINISHES AT IP BILOXI

John Dolan's breakthrough performance came two years ago in the WSOP Main Event when he finished sixth and was a member of the November Nine. Dolan has continued his winning ways and is now a standout on the WSOP Circuit. During the season's opening stop at IP Biloxi he scored his first Circuit championship and a fourth place finish in the Main Event. THE DRIVE FOR FIVE

Kyle Cartwright begins Day 3 of the WSOP Circuit Main Event at IP Biloxi as the chip leader. If he plays his way to a win, he will tie the all-time Circuit ring leader Mark "Pegasus" Smith with five championships. After two long days of play, just five players stand between Cartwright and becoming a member of poker history.



ROB SALBURU IN ATTENDANCE AT IP BILOXI MAIN EVENT

2012 October Niner Robert Salaburu (right) was among those to take their seat in Flight A of the Main Event at IP Biloxi. Salaburu found himself next to three-time WSOP Circuit Champion Dwyte Pilgrim (left). While Salaburu is not yet able to call himself a WSOP champion, he is among the final nine remaining in the WSOP Main Event and will have his shot at poker immortality come October 28.



SOME GOOD OLD FASHIONED SOUTHERN COMFORT

The Main Event is in town, but all eyes are on fixed Melissa and Mandy from Southern Comfort, the presenting sponsor of the 2012-13 WSOP Circuit. ASHLY BUTLER TAKES CONTROL OF CASINO CHAMPION'S RACE

Ashly Butler has a stranglehold on the Casino Champion's race through eight events at IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi, MS. Butler has recorded first and second-place finishes totaling 87.5 points, 20 points ahead of second place Cory Wood. The player who earns the most points throughout the 12-event series at IP will be anointed the Casino Champion and win free entry into the season-ending $1 Million WSOP National Championship to take place in New Orleans May 21-23, 2013.



CORY WOOD SITS ATOP CASINO CHAMPION'S LEADERBOARD

Through six events at IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi, MS the leader in the Casino Champion's race is Cory Wood. Wood is a 27-year-old poker pro from Murfreesboro, TN. He has recorded second a third-place finishes at IP Biloxi and currently holds the lead with a slight margin over second place Christopher Conrad. WSOP Circuit events continue at IP Biloxi through August 20.



JOHN DOLAN GETS A RING AT IP BILOXI

If you've followed the WSOP over the last few years you certainly recognize the face of 26-year-old poker pro John Dolan. In 2010 Dolan placed sixth in the WSOP Main Event for almost $1.8 million. In the years since he's recorded three more WSOP-related final tables and numerous cashes. Dolan's most recent championship performance came at IP Casino Resort and Spa in Biloxi, MS in Event #6. He bested 146 players and took home a $12,265 first-place prize.



2012-13 WSOP CIRCUIT AT IP BILOXI NEARS HALFWAY POINT

Caufman Talley (pictured) has been the big winner thus far during this year's Circuit event at IP Biloxi. Talley beat 461 entrants in the season's first re-entry tournament to win his second gold ring and $29,743. The Event #6 final table is currently taking place and with its completion, we will pass the halfway point of the 2012-13 Circuit event on the Gulf Coast. Through six events, we have seen three individuals make multiple final tables -- James Johnson, Christopher Conrad and Cory Wood. Conrad currently leads all in the Casino Championship, but Wood could overtake him with a second-place finish or better in Event #6.
