Doug Lee starts the PLO Event #7 final table as chip leader
The third and final day of the World Series of Poker Europe €500+50 Pot Limit Omaha Event #7 gets underway in half an hour from now at 12 p.m. local time at the Spielbank Berlin. Within 17 levels and then some, the field of 503 entrants and 140 re-entries has been whittled down to the last eight hopefuls and a trio of big names has made it all the way.
Doug Lee claimed top position after Day 1 and has never looked back since, coming into the final as chip leader with 827,000 chips. WSOP bracelet winner Barny Boatman is looking for a second bracelet and starts second in chips with 474,000 while Shannon Shorr has made the ninth final table, still aiming for his maiden victory.
Three players from Poland are trying to win the first ever bracelet for their country: Grzegorz Grochulski (284,000), Pawel Bakiewicz (214,000) and Damian Pawlak (155,000). The final table line up is completed by local player Dominik Maska (167,000) and Spain's Jose Obadia (152,000).
Action resumes with 48:59 minutes remaining in Level 18 at blinds 3,000/6,000. The finalists are guaranteed €5,780 for their efforts, while the winner takes home €54,725.
