Jacob Schindler Eliminated in 10th Place ($33,421)

Jacob Schindler

Action folded to Mark Teltscher in early position, and he moved all in for his final 421,000. It folded around to Jacob Schindler in the big blind, and he went into the tank. Schindler was the only player who didn't have Teltscher covered, so he was no longer at risk. After almost three minutes of thinking, Schindler dropped a stack in the middle, signifying a call.

Teltscher:
Schindler:

Schindler was in rough shape going to the flop, and that never changed, as the board ran down      . The stacks were counted up, and Teltscher had Schindler covered by about 50,000, eliminating him just short of the official final table.

With that, we are off to the mothership!

All three players checked the     flop. Vert led for 225,000 on the   turn and Rocco immediately moved all in. Pulusani folded and Vert couldn't muck his cards fast enough. Rocco showed the table   .

Teltscher Shoves on Rocco

Action folded to Michael Rocco on the button, and he raised to 55,000. Mark Teltscher was in the big blind, and he grabbed the rest of his stack, and dropped it in the middle. A quick frown came over Rocco's face when he saw the bet, and as the dealer was counting out the stack, he folded.

The players have seen a few flops since coming back from break but there has yet to be a showdown. Michael Rocco has been in control of his table since amassing his huge stack but it was Pedro Rios that came out on top at the end of this hand.

Rocco called and put a 37,000 turn bet out in the dark before the   was dealt. Rios raised to 112,000 and Rocco folded showing  . Rios then showed    to the delight of the table.

Le Is Chipping Up

Most of the action occurred preflop on this hand and it began when Sandeep Pulusani opened to 43,000 from under the gun. Nam Le reraised to 106,000 from middle position and then it folded around to Martin Hanowski, the small blind, who 4-bet to 200,000. Pulusani folded and Le calculatingly counted out his chips for a 5-bet to 330,000. It appeared that Hanowski was contemplating his options and chose just to call.

The flop came     and Le was first to act. He made it 200,000, leaving only 151,000 behind. Hanowski went into a 4-minute tank. He eventually decided to fold and even that took 20 seconds as he obviously didn't want to let go of his hand.

Rocco Five Bet Snap Folds

Mike Teltscher raised to 40,000 from under the gun +1, and action folded to Michael Rocco in the small blind. He three bet it to 110,000, and Martin Hanowski was in the big blind. He got a count on Teltscher's stack, and after a minute or so of tanking, he four bet to 210,000. Teltscher frustratingly folded his hand, and Rocco rechecked his hole cards, and wasted little time in five betting to 475,000. Hanowski starred at Rocco for a few moments before moving all in. Rocco rechecked his hole cards and folded after about three seconds.

Jason Mercier Eliminated in 16th Place ($21,773)

Jason Mercier

We have just seen what was not only one of the sickest hands of the WSOP so far, but arguably of the whole year in poker, as Jason Mercier was just eliminated in a ginormous pot.

Mercier opened the action with a raise to 35,000, and Michael Rocco made it 105,000 right behind him. It folded back to Mercier, and he tossed the call in. The two saw a flop of    , and Mercier checked to Rocco, who bet out 129,000. Mercier started to shuffle some chips and tanked for about 30 seconds before putting out a check raise to 260,000. Rocco only thought for a few moments before calling, and the turn was the  .

Mercier thought it over for a bit before checking again, and Rocco only took a few moments to move all in. Mercier insta snap called him, and we had a pot for 20% of the chips in play with 16 players left.

Mercier:
Rocco:

Mercier had a full house, nines full of sevens, while Rocco was left with just the overpair of aces. In a flash, the dealer brought down the   on the river, giving Rocco a better full house and causing the whole table to audibly groan. Mercier head sulked for just a couple of seconds before he gathered his things, and wished everyone luck. The whole table was still in shock as Mercier's mountain of chips were shipped over to Rocco, who now has a commanding chip lead of 1.95 million.

Rocco Doubles Through Hanowski

Michael Rocco and Martin Hanowski have been tangling all day with each trying to out maneuver the other. The action on this hand started when Jason Mercier raised to 32,000 from the button. Rocco made the call and Hanowski raised to 75,000. Mercier folded and after some thought Rocco moved all in. Hanowski seemed tormented by this move and ended up making the call.
