Jesse Sylvia started this hand with the button. He raised to 2.6 million, and Greg Merson called from the big blind. The flop came down    , and Merson checked. Sylvia bet 2.2 million, and Merson called.

The turn was the  , and Merson led for 4.1 million. Sylvia took some time, then made the call to see the river.

On fifth street, the   landed. Merson checked, and Sylvia studied. After a few moments, he began reaching into his stack. He came out with a bet of 8.6 million. Merson didn't flinch for a little bit of time, but then snapped out of his stare and took a sip from his RedBull. He then placed both elbows on the rail and cupped his hands in front of his mouth. He thought for a bit longer, then announced a call.

Sylvia turned over the    for a pair of sixes. Merson showed the    for a pair of jacks and won the pot. With that pot, Merson climbed back over 100 million in chips.
