Ashkan Razavi has continued his ascent up the chip leader board and now has a comfortable lead over the rest of the players. A recent hand saw Amanda Musumeci open it to 140,000 from the cut-off seat. Razavi called on the button and Derrick Huang called in the small blind.

Flop:

On the clop, Huang checked and Musumeci bet 205,000. A call from Razavi and a fold from Huang and the dealer would ready another card.

The   turn would see both remaining players check and an   would complete the board on the river. This time when Musumeci checked, Razavi would slide out a bet of 440,000. Too much for Musumeci, she let her go and sent the pot to Razavi.

Ashkan Razavi

Ashkan Razavi raised to 120,000 and action folded to Amanda Musumeci who tossed in a call from the big blind. The flop fell     and Musumeci check-called a bet of 110,000.

The turn brought the   and both players checked this time around, allowing the dealer to flip the   river onto the felt. Musumeci pushed out 235,000 and Razavi called, tabling   . Musumeci flicked her cards to the muck and Razavi was awarded the pot, causing his rail, who are all adorned with shirts reading "ASH CAN DO IT", to go crazy.

We didn't see a flop for three hands, with Ashkan Razavi picking up the first and the Derrick Huang opening two pots in a row and getting no action. The next hand after these three hands, Derrick would again open the pot and Duy Ho would say, "He's a machine!"

Machine or not, Ryan Olisar and Ashkan Razavi weren't afraid to rumble on this hand as the three players took to a     flop. Razavi was first to act and went with a check, so too did Huang and it was on Olisar. A bet of 160,000 was enough to scare off his opponents as Olisar stack increases yet again.

Ryan Olisar

Derrick Huang opened the betting with a raise to 130,000 and Ryan Olisar responded by moving all in for roughly 1,235,000. Action folded back to Huang who announced a call.

Olisar was drawing quite thin when he saw a flop of    . Olisar was able to pick up a couple more outs when the   fell on fourth street. Olisar was in need of an ace or a seven to make the straight in order to score a double up.

The dealer rapped the table and flipped over the river:

Olisar clapped his hands together with excited fervor and sprinted to give his rail section numerous high fives. Huang, on the other hand, looked less than pleased as he watched his chips be pushed to the opponent on his left.

Duy Ho opened up the action to 150,000 and was called by Derrick Huang in the big blind. The dealer spread out a     flop and Huang checked. Ho bet 210,000 and a call would see a   hit the turn. This time Huang would lead out for 575,000 and Ho quickly called.

The   completed the board on the river and both players checked. Ho gave a fist pump when Huang turned over   , not good enough for his   .

Back On Top

After losing her lead to Derrick Huang, Amanda Musumeci played two consecutive hands which led to her regaining the chip lead.

Duy Ho completed from the small blind and Musumeci checked her option. The dealer laid out a flop of     and Ho tossed in 100,000. Musumeci called and both players checked a turn of  . The river was the   and Ho announced a bet of 250,000 that Musumeci called before Ho was even done pushing out his chips.

"Queen-high," said Ho.

Musumeci showed    for two pair and was able to drag in the pot.

The next hand, Derrick Huang popped it up to 130,000 and it folded around to Musumeci in the small blind who pushed out a three-bet to 305,000. Action folded back to Huang who called.

The flop brought     and Musumeci continued out with a bet of 330,000. Huang thought for over a minute before tossing his hand into the muck.

Derrick Huang

We have a new chip leader and his name is Derrick Huang. Where did he get his chips you ask? From Amanda Musumeci.

The hand in question started when Musumeci opened it to 130,000 from the cutoff. Derrick Huang called in the small blind and a     flop was dealt.

Huang would check to Musumeci who bet 155,000. Huang called and the dealer turned over a   on the turn. Huang would again check and Musumeci again fire, this time 215,000. Another call and the final card would be dealt on the river.

The   would see Huang check and instead of going with a third bullet, Musumeci would go with a check. Huang said he had queen high and was getting ready to fold his hand, but that would all change when Musumeci turned over    for just jack-high. Huang's    hit the felt and he took down the pot to become the new chip leader.

Brian Rast - 6th place

It was the last hand before the first 20-minute break of the day that would see Brian Rast eliminated in a gallant 6th place.

The hand in question saw cards fly into the muck from all directions before it was on Ashkan Razavi on the button. Razavi would raise it up to 100,000 and it was on Rast in the small blind. He shoved for his short stack and Razavi immediately made the call.

Razavi:
Rast:

The crowd went wild, especially Razavi's rail as they cried out for a king. The     flop didn't house a king, but it was a good one for Razavi. The   turn wasn't what Rast was looking for and the   on the river would be the final bullet in Rast's tournament life.

With that hand, the remaining five players have been sent on a 20-minute break. We will have full chip counts for you shortly. The chip lead is going to be close between Razavi and Musumeci.

Duy Ho doubles

Duy Ho's position in this tournament has just changed dramatically thanks to the chips of Ryan Olisar. Folded to Olisar in the small blind, he raised it up to 130,000. Ho was directly on his left in the big blind and shoved all-in.

Olisar thought hard as it was 1,470,000 to call. Eventually he decided to go with the call and two players tabled their hands.

Ho:
Olisar:

The     flop prompted Ho's rail to shout and cheer at the sight of the nine, while the   turn would see them shout out for another paint card.

The   on the river was what they were looking for as Ho took the huge double up. Olisar is now struggling as one of the shortest stacks at the table.

On the flop, Olisar bet 155,000 and Ho quickly raised it up to 310,000. It didn't take long for Olisar to fire back, moving all-in. Ho thought and though before flashing a   and letting it go.

We have been struggling to see a flop of late. Teh last three hand have seen preflop aggression take down pots. The first of three saw Duy Ho open it up to 150,000 from the cutoff and Ashkan Razavi three-bet to 380,000 in the small blind. Nobody wanted to rumble and he took it down.

The very next hand, Amanda Musumeci opened it to 110,000 and Derrick Huang three-bet to 260,000 in the big blind. The hand after that saw Brian Rast open the button to 100,000. No player wanted to play with the short stack and Rast took down the hand.

Derrick Huang and Ryan Olisar

Derrick Huang opened to 110,000 from the cutoff and Ryan Olisar called from the button. The blinds released their hands and the two players were heads up to a flop.

A flop of     was spread out in front of the players. Huang continued out for 120,000 and Olisar quickly dipped into his stack to make the call. The turn brought the  , prompting both players to check.

Fifth street came the   and Huang decided to take control of the hand once again, betting out 250,000. Olisar called but mucked his hand when Huang flipped up   for a turned straight.

Huang has been collecting chips rather quickly as of late, and he is currently second in chips, covered only by Amanda Musumeci. Olisar, however, who started today as the chip leader, has dropped to fourth in chips.

Brian Rast

Brian Rast is down to shove mode, holding only a small amount over ten big blinds. He recently did exactly that, but got no action and picked up the blinds and antes.

Folded to Brian Rast in the small blind, he flicked in enough chips to make the call. Derrick Huang tapped the table in the big blind and the dealer would ready the flop.

Flop:

On the flop, Rast would fire out 65,000 and Huang made the call as a   hit the turn. Rast would again bet, this time 140,000. Another call and the final card would be dealt on the felt, a  .

Rast didn't slow down here, betting 285,000. Huang opted to go with another call.

"Good call," said Rast as he flipped over    for king-high. Huang's    for a pair of jacks would be good enough to rake in the nice pot.
