Max Lykov

Max Lykov raised to 175,000 from the button and Dror Michaelo made it 425,000 from the big blind which Lykov called to see a     flop.

Michaelo led out for 600,000 and after some contemplation, Lykov made the call. The turn was the   and Michaelo continued the aggression with another bet of 600,000 which again the Russian called.

The river was the   and Michaelo tanked before checking and Lykov instantly checked back. Michaelo turned over    but Lykov scooped a huge pot with    to increase his chip lead further.

Ren Ho Zhang - Eliminated in 4th Place ($213,539)

In the hand immediately following Stanislav Alekhin's elimination, Maxim Lykov raised to 175,000 from the hijack and Ren Ho Zhang called from the big blind. The flop came    , Zhang checked, Lykov bet 185,000, and Zhang called.

The turn was the   and Zhang again opted to check-call a bet from Lykov, this time for 285,000. When the   came on the river Zhang thought for a minute before announcing he was all in. Lykov snap-called and by the look on Zhang's face it was evident that that was not what he wanted.

Lykov revealed his    for a king-high flush and Zhang revealed his    for nothing but a bluff. Zhang was sent to the rail with a $213,539 consolation prize as Lykov added even more chips to his stack.

Harald Olsen

After a few 'raise and take it' hands, Harald Olsen moved all in from the small blind, Warren Wooldridge checked his cards and looked a little pained but after about 30 seconds, he made the call.

The flop of     brought no help to either player and neither did the   on the turn, Olsen needed to make a pair but he couldn't on the   river. Wooldridge picks up a big pot as we drop down to four players.

Warren Wooldridge raised to 225,000 from the cutoff and was called by Max Lykov in the big blind. The flop came     and Lykov checked the action over to Wooldridge who bet 400,000. Lykov decided to fold and Wooldridge took the pot.

Stanislav Alekhin

Ren Ho Zhang raised to 145,000 from the cutoff and Stanislav Alekhin moved all in from the small blind for just over a million. Zhang thought for about a minute and called off his stack.

The board came       and Zhang doubled to about 2 million while Alekhin dropped to just 30,000.

Alekhin managed to double up a hand later but soon after he was all in for 100,000 with    against Zhang's   . The board came a kingless       to leave us with just five players.

Douglas Mackinnon - Eliminated in 7th Place ($90,604)

Action folded to DJ MacKinnnon in middle position who moved all in for his last 740,000. Everyone got out of the way except for Max Lykov in the big blind who called.

MacKinnon's rail starting yelling for a queen to come and indeed that would be the card he would need to hit to stay alive. Unfortunately for MacKinnon the board ran out       and he was eliminated in seventh place, good for a $90,604 payday.

Max Lykov raised to 125,000 from UTG and Sebastein Roy reraised all in next to him for about 700,000 or so. It was passed back to Lykov who wasted very little time in making the call.

The flop was     and all was looking good for the Canadian but the   on the turn meant any paint would send him home. The river was the   and Lykov backdoored into the nuts to increase his chip lead even further.

Roy goes out in 9th, good for over $50,000.

After a flop of     Max Lykov checked it over to Harald Olsen who bet 135,000. Lykov called and they saw the   come on the turn. Lykov again check-called a bet from Olsen, this time for 300,000. When the   came on the river Lykov checked a third time and Olsen announced he was all in for a little over 1,000,000. Lykov debated a bit before releasing his hand and Olsen scooped up the pot.

Sebastien Roy opened to 125,000 from middle position and Warren Wooldridge called in the big blind. Both players checked the     flop and then the   turn. Wooldridge led out for 125,000 on the   river and Roy snap-called, flipping over    but Wooldridge showed    for aces to win the pot.

Action folded around to Stanislav Alekhin in the small blind who moved all in for 750,000. Joshua Evans was in the big blind and didn't think too long before deciding to call.

Max Lykov hasn't wasted much time in getting involved since arriving slightly late. Harald Olsen raised to 100,000 and Lykov made it 255,000 from the small blind but then snap folded when Olsen reraised to 1.1 million.

The next hand saw Joshua Evans make it 130,000 from UTG only to fold when Lykov made it 255,000 on the button.

Finally Lykov raised to 100,000 and Olsen called to see a     flop. Olsen led out for 135,000 but snap-folded when Lykov made it 325,000.
