Michael Whitfield - Eliminated in 10th Place

Ben White opened to 52,000 from early position, and Michael Whitfield moved all in for 420,000. The action folded back to White who looked at his cards one last time before calling, and opening up   .

White unhappily showed   .

The     flop kept the door open for Whitfield, but it was promptly shut when the turn and river came  ,   respectively.

Whitfield was eliminated just before the official final table, while White padded his chip lead.

Marc-Etienne McLaughlin made it 26,000 to go and action folded to Michael Whitfield who raised to 52,000. McLaughlin made the call and the flop came    . McLaughlin checked and Whitfield fired out a bet of 200,000. McLaughlin pondered before raising to 400,000. Whitfield announced all in and McLaughlin quickly called.

With a flush draw and overs, McLaughlin got there when the   turned. The   hit the river and McLaughlin was able to scoop the pot, crippling Whitfield.

During the Philip Lowery elimination, Rodrigo Portaleoni opened to 53,000 on the adjacent table. Randy Haddox three-bet to 128,000, and Portaleoni answered with a four-bet to 368,000.

"One-point-three million," Haddox announced, moving all in.

Portaleoni tanked for nearly a minute before ultimately mucking his hand.

Philip Lowery - Eliminated in 11th Place

Kirk Caldwell opened to 75,000 from early position, Philip Lowery moved all in for 460,000, and the action folded back to Caldwell who sat back in his chair, placed his hands on his head, and announced call, flipping over two black eights.

Lowery tabled   .

The flop came down    .

"Running clubs," Lowery asked the dealer.

The turn was indeed a club - the   - and Lowery was one card away from actually going runner-runner. He could of course hit an ace or a jack as well.

The river was black, but the   wasn't enough, and Lowery was eliminated from the tournament.

Mark Mclaughlin made it 50,000 to go from under the gun and the action folded around to Randy Haddox in the small blind. Haddox three-bet to 140,000 and Mclaughlin made the call.

The flop fell     and Haddox continued out for 149,000. After about two minutes of thinking, Mclaughlin made the call.

The turn came  , pairing the board. Haddox fired out once again, this time for 249,000. After about another two minutes in the tank, Mclaughlin pushed his cards into the muck and Haddox was able to scoop the pot.

Rodrigo Portaleoni opened to 52,000 from late position, and the action folded to Kyle Cartwright who moved all in from the big blind for effectively 581,000. Portaleoni snapped it off.

"Ás! Ás! Ás!" Portaleoni's rail shouted.

"Jack!" Cartwright pleaded.

The river was indeed an ás - the   - and although Portaleoni didn't need it, it improved his hand and he doubled to over a million chips.

David Pishvafar - Eliminated in 12th Place

Gabriel Morin open-shoved from early position, and David Pishvafar re-shoved near the button. Pishvafar opened   , but Martin Stevens was in the tank in the blinds. Stevens eventually released, and Morin opened   .

The board ran      , and Pishvafar was eliminated from the tournament.

"I looked down at    and thought it was aces," Steven said after the hand. "Just about had a heart attack."

Mark Mclaughlin raised to 43,000 from the button. Adam Geyer moved all in for 209,000 from the small blind. Corbin White tanked for about two minutes before finally mucking his cards, allowing Mclaughlin to snap call.

Pham Kimphuc moved all in preflop and action folded around to Kirk Caldwell who made the call.

Kimphuc was ahead preflop and it stayed that way as the flop came    . The turn brought the  , making Caldwell need a jack and only a jack to send Kimphuc home. Unfortunately for Kimphuc, the   peeled off on the river and he was sent packing, collecting $23,861 for his efforts.
