Dutch Boyd raised from the button, and Brian Meinders called the extra bet.

Both men checked through the flop of      , and Boyd bet the   turn. Meinders check-called, and Boyd bet again on the   river. Meinders took his time to eye up his opponent, finally asking, "I don't know, is ace high good?" After another moment, he splashed in the call.

Boyd tabled    , and his rivered pair of eights was good enough to win the pot.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 11:03 PM Local Time

On an     flop, Meinders check-raised a bet from Boyd, who then made it three-bets. Meinders laid it down, and Boyd gets a bit of his stack back.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 11:02 PM Local Time

Brian Meinders has won three of the first four heads-up pots to really tighten the screws on Dutch Boyd. He's down around 600,000 now.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 10:57 PM Local Time

On the first hand of heads up, Brian Meinders had the button, and he raised. Dutch Boyd reraised right back, and Meinders made it four bets to go. Boyd called.

The flop came out      , and one Meinders bet was enough to take down the pot without incident.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 10:48 PM Local Time

In two successive hands Brian Meinders took all of Albert Minnullin's chips.

The first saw Meinders flop top pair, with    and get called all the way down on a       board by Minnullin.

The second, saw the two get all their chips into the middle on a     flop. Meinder was ahead with   , and Minnullin would need some help, holding the   .

The turn and river were both blanks for Minnullin, and he has been eliminated in 3rd place from this WSOP limit hold'em event.

Players have taken a short break before heads-up play.

We picked up the action on a flop of       as Albert Minnullin was check-raising a bet from Brian Meinders. Meinders called the extra small bet, and Minnullin checked to him again on the   turn. Meinders bet and was called, and he fired one last bet on the   river. Minnullin tanked and eventually mucked.

On the next hand, Minnullin opened with a button raise, and Dutch Boyd made it three bets from the big blind. The board ran out           with Minnullin calling bets on the flop and the turn. When Boyd fired his final bullet, Minnullin tanked hard for almost two minutes before surrendering his cards once again.

Those two river folds have pushed Minnullin down under 400,000.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 10:35 PM Local Time

Brian Meinders raised from the small blind, and Dutch Boyd called in the big blind. The flop came    , and Meinders check-raised the bet from Boyd. Boyd called, and the turn was the  . Meinders bet, Boyd called and they saw the   fall on the river. Once again Meinder bet, and after a minute or two of thought, Boyd made the call.

Meinder flipped over the    for the nut flush, and it was Boyd mucked.

Meinder looks to have about 1.5 million.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 10:26 PM Local Time

Art Parmann raised first in from the small blind, and he and big blind Brian Meinders capped it going to the flop. That left Parmann with just 20,000 in front of him, which he bet dark, and Meinders called dark so we could go ahead and turn the cards up:

Parmann:

Meinders:

There was a disastrous ten right in the door, but the       flop kept Parmann hopeful as he picked up an open-ended straight draw to work with. The   on the turn was an airball though, and the   river was no help either.

Unable to win his final hand with the best hand, Art Parmann has been eliminated in fourth place. He'll take home more than $60,000 for his efforts over the past three days, and that's just not too shabby.

We're down to our final three.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 10:21 PM Local Time

Domenico Denotaristefani, who was extremely short stacked got the rest of his chips into the middle against Albert Minnullin on a      board.

Showdown:

Albert Minnullin:

Domenico Denotaristefani:

The river was no help for Denotaristefani, and he has leaves this WSOP event with about $40K more than he started with.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 10:17 PM Local Time

Brian Meinders limped in from the small blind, and Dutch Boyd raised from the big. Meinders called the extra bet, and the two men took a flop of      . They both checked.

The turn came the   and Meinders checked again. He called a bet from Boyd, and he faced one last bet on the river  . "Can you have just a nine?" Meinders asked aloud. After another moment, he flicked in the calling chips.

Boyd tabled    , and that was in fact more than a nine. Kings up is good, and Boyd rakes in that pot to pull just ahead of Meinders.

Boyd - 1,155,000

Meinders - 965,000

The players have been sent off for a twenty-minute break, during which those pesky orange T1,000 chips will be colored up and raced off. We'll be right back with the full chip counts for you.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 9:53 PM Local Time

On the last hand of the round, Art Parmann got himself all in with     up against fellow-short-stack Domenico Denotaristefani and his    .

The board ran out scary but safe for the at-risk pair:

The threes hold up to earn Parmann that much-needed double up, and Denotaristefani is now the perilously short stack left.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 9:50 PM Local Time

Brian Meinders opened with a raise from the button, and Dutch Boyd called from the small blind.

Heads up, the flop came out      . Boyd fired a bet that Meinders called, and the action repeated itself on the   turn. When the   rivered, Boyd fired the third bullet, only to see Meinders put in a surprise raise. Boyd came right back with an immediate third bet, and Meinders went into the tank for a minute. He shot a long glance over at Boyd, started mumbling through some possible holdings for his opponent, and finally slid his cards into the muck.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 9:39 PM Local Time

Dutch Boyd raised from the small blind, and Albert Minnullin made the call from the big blind.

The players saw a     flop, and Boyd bed getting a call from Minnullin. The turn was the   and Boyd check-called the bet from Minnullin, and did the same when the   hit on the river.

As soon as Boyd made the river call, Minnullin mucked his hand. Boyd flipped over    to claim his newfound chips.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 9:28 PM Local Time

Art Parmann raised from the cut-off, and Dutch Boyd made the call out of the big blind.

The flop came     and Boyd check-raised Parmann's bet. Parmann made the call, and the turn dropped the  , prompting a bet from Boyd, and a call from Parmann. Both players checked the   river, and Boyd flipped over the   , which was good enough to take down the pot.

Dutch Boyd opened the pot with an under-the-gun raise, and Domenico Denotaristefani reraised from the small blind. Brian Meinders made the call before Dutch Boyd made it four bets to go. Both opponents called, and it was three ways to the flop.

It came down      , and the action checked around. The   hit the turn, and Meinders was the only one who could muster the strength to fire a bet. His opponents ducked out, and it's an easy game for the big stack.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 9:17 PM Local Time

We didn't see the exact action preflop, but there was a raise from Domenico Denotaristefani, who was on the button. Brian Meinders and Dutch Boyd both found themselves in the pot also, which had about 100k in it preflop.

The flop came down     and it checked around to Denotaristefani, who bet, but was quickly raised by Meinders, and re-raised by Boyd. Denotaristefani folded, and Meinders made the call.

The turn was the   and Meinders check-called a bet from Boyd, and did the same when Boyd bet the   on the river.

Boyd turned over   , which was good enough to scoop the pot.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 9:06 PM Local Time

Art Parmann raised to open the pot. Dutch Boyd called from the big blind, and the two men went off to a flop of      . Boyd check-raised to two bets, and Parmann came right back with another raise over the top. He only had 87,000 left going to the flop, and Boyd went ahead and set him all in.

Showdown

Parmann:

Boyd:

Boyd was ahead with a chance at the knockout, but Parmann had the live overcards to work with. Sure enough, the turn was a  , drawing an almost accidental, "Oh, come on!" from Boyd. Just to rub it in, the river   gave Parmann the winning trips, doubling him up to around 350,000.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 8:49 PM Local Time

Brian Meinders opened under the gun, and Dutch Boyd put in three bets right next door. The two men went heads up to a flop of      , and Meinders tapped the table. When Boyd bet, he check-raised, and Boyd matched the extra bet.

The turn came the  , and Boyd called a bet before the   filled out the board. Meinders checked again, and Boyd figured a bet was in order. Meinders called, and Boyd said, "Tens," turning up {Td  .

"Tens are good," Meinders lamented as he slung his cards into the muck.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 8:46 PM Local Time

Brian Meinder raised it up from the button, and both Dutch Boyd and Albert Minnullin called from the blinds.

The flop was     and Boyd checked to Minnullin, who bet, Meinder called and Boyd raised getting a call from both players.

The turn was the  , and Boyd led out this time getting calls from both opponents.

The river was the  , and all three players checked.

Boyd revealed   , and Minnullin took quite some time, obviously about to make the "denial muck." Meinder was waiting for Minnullin to flip his hand over before revealing his own, and by doing this most of the crowd and possibly Boyd thought his hand was good. It wasn't as Meinder finally flipped over pocket jacks when Minnullin's cards hit the muck.
