Lori Bender made it 50,000 and then happily called the 255,000 push from Dawn Thomas. On their backs, and it was a clinical affair.
Thomas:
Bender:
Board:
Thomas is bust in eighth place, and Bender moves up the rankings on 620,000.

Wow, the chips are all over the place here. The structure is pretty tight now, and the chip leader is changing faster than Superman in a phone booth.
Just now, Lisa Hamilton raised to 50,000 under the gun and got a call from Kim Rios on the button. Hamilton checked the
flop and Rios tried it on for 100,000, but passed to a minimum raise from Hamilton.
Hamilton: 720,000
Rios: 545,000
Tuesday, June 9, 2009 2:00 PM Local Time
Kim Rios made a 50,000 raise under the gun and small blind Lori Bender was the sole caller.
Flop:
Bender checked, and when Rios bet 100,000 she reraised to 200,000. Rios moved all in for 398,000 total and Bender decided she didn't like her hand that much after all, and passed. Rios rewarded her by flashing
for top two pair.
With that, Rios moves into the chip lead on 725,000, while Bender sinks to 325,000.
Tuesday, June 9, 2009 1:56 PM Local Time
Kim Rios made it 32,000 to go and got two callers in the shape of Lisa Hamilton on the button and Lori Bender in the big blind. Come the
flop, though, it checked to Hamilton, who easily took it down with a 75,000 bet. She's up to 670,000 now.

Incidentally, there seems to be a lot of railer interest in this final table. Currently lurking at the rail we have such luminaries as Elky, Pam Brunson and Dennis Phillips, as well as what can only be described as a throng of friends and family. An impressive turnout.

Just before the blinds went up, an interesting hand almost, but not quite, took off.
Kim Rios raised to 50,000 from the cutoff and Mari Lou Morelli called her from the button to see a
flop. Rios open-shoved the flop and Morelli passed. Rios showed her second pair of pocket aces of the day. Must be nice.
Tuesday, June 9, 2009 1:40 PM Local Time
Lisa Hamilton raised to 40,000, but Lisa Santy moved all in behind her for 171,000. An unexpected re-shove for not much more from Kim Rios in the small blind and back around to Hamilton, who considered it for some time but eventually gave it up. On their backs.
Santy:
Rios:
"C'mon baby, give me some luck," pleaded Santy. and indeed there was a glimmer of hope on the flop.
Flop:
Another glimmer of at least a chop on the turn...
Turn:
"Spade me, baby," begged Santy of the poker gods.
River: a bricktastic
Thus we lose Kim Santy in ninth place.

A flop!
Lisa Hamilton raised to 36,000 and our first preflop call came from Angel Pedroza in the cutoff. It didn't get much further than that, though -- Hamilton bet out 60,000 on the
flop and Pedroza gave it up there.

It is interesting to note that exactly six Lisas started Day 2 yesterday, and a frankly impressive three of them have made final table: Lisas Hamilton, Parsons and Santy. If we make it down to three runners and all of them are Lisa, it will be a very impressive achievement indeed.

A few more hands in, and we are no closer to seeing a flop: the players are currently taking it in turns to steal the blinds and antes with a late position raise. In the style of Cluedo:
- Lisa Parsons, in the cutoff, with 32,000
- Lisa Hamilton, on the button, with 40,000
- Dawn Thomas, in the hijack, with 36,000
Tuesday, June 9, 2009 1:17 PM Local Time
No messing from these ladies -- Lisa Parsons raised to 32,000 from the button, only for small blind Dawn Thomas to reraise all in. Not as much action as we could have hoped for, though -- Parsons folded, and Thomas showed her
for her troubles.
