Baldwin Making His Presence Felt

An opponent opened to 300 from the hijack, the player on the button called and Eric Baldwin jacked it up to 2,000 from the small blind.

Both of his opponents folded and Baldwin took down a pot with some well-timed aggression.

Miscikowski Misses

David Miscikowski defended big blind and check-raised to 2,000 on a     flop against Jake Balsiger, who was in middle position and called. The turn was a   and Balsiger called another barrel of 2,600. On the   river, both players checked and Miscikowski opened    for a pair and a missed straight.

Good Start for Mo

On a raised pot the flop was showing     when Weiyi Mo check-called her opponent's bet for 550. The turn brought a   and went check-check. The river   brought no more action and Mo tabled    for a pair of jacks, which was good to make her opponent muck his hand.

Mo, who recently final tabled Event #57: $1,000/$10,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship, had now a stack around 62,000.

Fast Turns Broadway

From big blind, Dietriech Fast checked the     flop and Chris Vitch fired 500 in the hijack. Another player folded in the cutoff but Fast stuck around, calling.

The turn fell   and Vitch checked back to see the   complete the board. Fast led out 750 and Vitch tossed in a call.

Fast rolled over    for turned nuts and Vitch mucked his hand.

Vitch in a Hole Early

Sterling Lipscomb opened for a raise and called a reraise to 1,500 from Chris Vitch, on his left in the cutoff. The flop came     and Lipscomb check-raised to 2,800 after Vitch bet 800. Vitch called and then peeled for 2,500 on the   turn, bringing a   river. Lipscomb bet 6,000 and Vitch folded fairly quickly.

Moneymaker Has Seen Better Rivers

We caught the action on the       river where Chris Moneymaker, sitting on the button, faced a 3,500-bet from the middle of the table.

"Not the best river I've ever seen," Moneymaker said.

Then he took the calling chips and shuffled them a few times. However, Moneymaker eventually convinced himself to make the fold and no cards were shown despite Moneymaker trying to get a fold-and-show deal.

Augustino Hits a Set

The action went three-way to the     flop with around 1,575 in the pot when Furqan Tanwir bet 500. Nicholas Augustino raised to 1,500, and Martin Finger folded before Tanwir called.

On the   turn, Tanwir check-called a 3,500 bet before he again check-called a bet from Augustino on the   river.

Stefanski Shows a Boat

Rory Young raised to 400 from under the gun and Kevin Calenzo called from the small blind. Dave Stefanski called from the big blind and they went three handed to the     flop.

The action checked around and the dealer burned and turned the  . Calenzo led out with a bet of 700 and Stefanski raised to 2,000. Both players quickly folded and Stefanski turned over    for deuces full of eights as he scooped the pot.

Liebert Gets Aggressive

The cutoff opened to 400, the small blind called, and Kathy Liebert three-bet to 1,450 from the big blind. The cutoff called and the small blind folded.

The flop came     and Liebert continued for 1,300. Her opponent mucked and she took the pot.

Hinds Starting to Build a Stack

The board read      , Henri Hinds bet 10,050 from the big blind position into a pot around 17,500. Chad Layne thought for quite some time and then threw in the chips to signify a call.

Hinds turned over    for a flopped set, Layne sighed as he threw his cards into the muck and Hinds took down the pot.

Moorman Flops the Nuts

With action picked up on the river of the       board, Chris Moorman led out 1,500 into 1,850 out of the small blind. His right-hand opponent called on the button and Moorman revealed that he flopped big, showing    for a straight and a missed straight flush draw. Moorman raked in the small pot and continued with a little over the starting stack.

Grondin Concedes a Pot

Jason Johnson raised from under the gun and it was called by Jonathan Concepcion on the button. Laurence Grondin raised it to 1,500 from the big blind and both players called.

The flop came     and Grondin continued for 1,800. Only Concepcion was interested and called. The turn fell a   and after Gron first checked, she folded her hand after her opponent fired 8,500.

Yaroshevskyy Chops One

On the flop of    , Igor Yaroshevsky was betting 1,000 in the cutoff, earning two calls from the small blind and a player in middle position.

Sands Continues to Bet

David Sands opened to 400 from late position, the button called and Alfred Wyckoff called as well from the big blind. The flop came down    .

The action checked to Sands who bet 800, the button opponent folded and action was on Wyckoff who made the call. The turn fell the  , action checked to Sands and he bet 2,100.

Wyckoff thought for a few moments but in the end decided to fold his hand and Sands took down the pot.

Braga Folds River

The board was showing      with a pot already containing more than 5,000 when Patrick Braga's opponent bet 4,400. After some thought, the latter called and the   completed the board. After another bet worth 6,000 from his opponent, Braga chose to fold his hand.
