Big Slick = Big Pot for Chris George

Chris George from Day 1

Chris George opened with a raise to 3,000 from under the gun. The player to his immediate left reraised, making it 7,500 to play. Action folded all the way back around to George who quickly put in a four-bet to 23,000. The other player called.

The flop came down     and George checked over to his opponent who put out a bet of 21,000. George called and the two saw a turn of the   where both checked.

George and his opponent both checked again on the   river. George showed    and that was good for him to take down the pot as his opponent mucked.

With that pot, George moved above the 200,000-chip mark.

Smalley's Aces Hold Against Adams and Pauli's Kings on Feature Table

Sebastian Pauli

On one of the feature tables, a huge three-way pot has played out that saw Sebastian Pauli eliminated while Larry Smalley (pictured below) nearly tripled up at the expense of Pauli and Adams.

Smalley was dealt    under the gun and appeared to raise as Pauli and his    called from a few seats over before Brandon Adams three-bet the small blind to 22,000.

Smalley responded by moving all in for 88,700 before Pauli committed what appeared to be roughly 55,000 in chips. Adams had both players covered, and he called holding   .

Smalley:

With Smalley appearing to have a stranglehold on the hand, the dealer dropped a     flop to give Pauli outs to backdoor diamonds.

The turn, however, would end all hope for Pauli and Adams as it fell the  , and when the river landed the  , Pauli was eliminated while Smalley more than doubled to 225,000 in chips.

Reichenstein Shoves the River

Uri Reichenstein from a previous event

There was a raise from early position and four other players called including Uri Reichenstein from the big blind. The flop came     and the action was checked to the preflop raiser. He bet 3,000 and was called by the cutoff, only to have Reichenstein check-raise to 13,500. The player in early position folded and the cutoff made the call.

The turn was the   and Reichenstein bet 24,500, which his opponent called after a couple moments. When the   landed on the river, Reichenstein moved all in for 180,000. His opponent had just 125,000 behind, and so calling would put his tournament life on the line.

He thought, he thought, and he thought some more. Nearly 10 minutes had passed and Reichentein's opponent could only muster a look of agony on his face. Finally, another player in the hand called the clock and the floor came over to give him 30 seconds to act. The countdown reached zero and his hand was declared dead.

"Show the bluff, show the bluff," you could hear coming from all around the table.

"I can't," answered Reichenstein as he scooped a massive pot.

Michael Rossitto Takes Out Jon Turner

Jon Turner

Michael Rossitto opened with a raise to 2,200 from the hijack and he was called by the player on the button. From the big blind, Jon Turner moved all in for roughly 12,000. Rossitto called while the button folded, bringing the two players to a showdown.

Rossitto:
Turner:

The board ran out       and that gave both players queens, but Rossitto held the better kicker so Turner was eliminated from the tournament.
