Francisco Barbaro

With around 70,000 at the start of the hand, Francesco Barbaro is at risk on a flop of    . He acts first, with William Brock and Scott Packer behind. Barbaro bets out 15,000. Brock raises to 30,000 and before Packer acts, Barbaro raises all in for his last 35,000 (5,000 more over Brock's bet).

Brock calls and starts to expose his hand as Packer says "Hold up, hold up." A floor is alerted. It is ruled that Brock's partial exposure was inadvertent and was elicited by Barbaro acting out of turn, so no penalty. Brock re-conceals his hand and Packer has the choice to call or not. He does. Barbaro is all in. Brock calls the extra 5,000..

Brock shows      for the high, while Packer turns over      for the low. Barbaro stands, displeased, and states that if Brock hadn't partially revealed his hand then Packer would've folded. He adds that he, too, played out of turn but states that it's an unpleasant way to exit a tournament.

Kessler cashes

Allen Kessler is all in preflop for his last 6,000. Frankie O'Dell gives him some protection with a preflop riase to 30,000, but Ilya Krupin joins the hand as well and the boards runs out     [x].

With O'Dell's      and Krupin's      hands exposed, Kessler gives his own hand a squeeze. He exposes     and says, "I need a ten." But his last card is the   instead, and Kessler is eliminated while O'Dell and Krupin chop the pot.

Larry Brill and Ruben Vera start the tournament as the two shortest stacks, with 16,000 and 15,000 chips, respectively.

Brill is in the big blind, and just 4,000 chips behind, with Frankie O'Dell — near the top of the leader board overnight — in the small blind.

Brandon Shack-Harris leads the way into Day 3

The 2016 WSOP Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better event moves into Day 3 today. 27 players return for a chance at the title, which is worth $244,103. Second and third place also receive at least $100,000. All players eliminated at this point are guaranteed to take home at least $6,919.

Going into Day 3, Brandon Shack-Harris is the overall leader with 830,000 in chips and a chance to collect another Omaha bracelet to compliment his previous one from the 2014 $1,000 PLO Event. Some of the other big stacks starting the day belong to Benjamin Gold (566,000), Ilya Krupin (463,000), Frankie O’Dell (454,000) and Francesco “Cheech” Barbaro (420,000). Also remaining are 2015 bracelet winner Benny Glaser (259,000), as well as four-time bracelet winner Max Pescatori (281,000), and notables Thomas Muehloecker (245,000), Allen Kessler (181,000) and Ari Engel (131,000)
