Jason Mercier seeks his fifth WSOP bracelet on Friday

The third and final day of the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship gets cards in the air this afternoon at 2 p.m. For the second straight event that he's entered, Jason Mercier leads the way into the last day of the tournament.

Mercier is coming off of both a win in the $10,000 no-limit 2-7 single draw championship and a runner-up finish in the $10,000 razz. He comes into the final day of the H.O.R.S.E. championship with 1,597,000 chips, and is one of three players over the million-chip mark. A win today would give him his fifth career bracelet and his second of the young summer.

Jesse Martin and Nick Schulman aren't far behind, with 1,244,000 and 1,170,000, respectively.

The tournament started with 171 players and the final 14 players continue battling today. Today's schedule is to play one-hour levels until there is a winner.

There are 15-minute breaks after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level of play. Everybody who remains is guaranteed a payday of at least $21,255, but all players are eyeing the $422,874 first-place prize and the bracelet. Check back with WSOP.com for complete action of the day's coverage.
