The end of this five-day marathon of high stakes mixed game poker is on the horizon. Today, the final six players return to the felt one last time to vie for $1,270,086 in first-place prize money as well as a gold World Series of Poker bracelet and the honor of having their name etched on the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy. David "ODB" Baker is the player closest to achieving this honor as he leads the final six players with 3.227 million in chips.
Despite Baker bagging up the biggest chip stack, hot competition is right on his heels. Bracelet winner and this year's $10,000 Razz Championship runner up Mike Gorodinsky is in second place with 2.589 million. Gorodinsky has consistently proven himself as an elite mixed game player and will certainly give Baker a run for his money on the path to glory. Rounding out the top three is Jean-Robert Bellande, who is scoring his first live tournament cash since December of 2013. Bellande went on a heater toward the end of Day 4 that culminated in his elimination of Jason Mercier in 7th place. Bellande will bring a stack of 2.188 million to the final table.
Chris Klodnicki sits in the middle of the pack with 2.13 million in chips. Klodnicki may be one of the most established poker players without a WSOP bracelet. That's not to say he hasn't come close in the past, however. Klodnicki finished runner up to Michael Mizrachi in this very event in 2012. He also settled for a runner-up finish the following year in the inaugural $111,111 One Drop High Roller.
Coming in at fifth in chips is online legend Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky. This is Sulsky's first time playing this event and he's already managed a final table appearance. This is Sulsky's fourth live tournament cash and he'll bring 1.462 million in chips to the final table. Finally, Dan Kelly brings up the rear with 1.003 million in chips. Kelly is a two-time WSOP bracelet winner and he's searching for his first bracelet in a non-hold'em event.
Here’s how the final table will stack up when play resumes:
Seat 1: Chris Klodnicki - 2,130,000
Seat 2: Mike Gorodinsky - 2,589,000
Seat 3: Jean-Robert Bellande - 2,188,000
Seat 4: Ben Sulsky - 1,462,000
Seat 5: David "ODB" Baker - 3,227,000
Seat 6: Dan Kelly - 1,003,000
Play kicks off from the ESPN Main Stage at 2 p.m. local time. Be sure to stay tuned to WSOP.com as this prestigious event reaches its dramatic conclusion.
