Hands #26-30: Chips for Stout

Hand #26: Aleksandr Gofman raised to 60,000 and won the blinds and antes when Matt Stout and Peter Gould folded in the blinds.

Hand #27: Robert Schmidt raised to 60,000 and won the pot preflop.

Hand #28: Schmidt raised to 60,000 and Stout three-bet to 145,000 from the cutoff. Schmidt let it go.

Hand #29: Brett Shaffer got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #30: Stout raised to 70,000 and Rob Wazwaz and Schmidt called. The flop came down     and Stout bet out 110,000, winning the hand when both of his opponents folded.

Hand #21: RJ Sullivan limped in the small blind, and Rob Wazwaz checked his option. A     flop was dealt, Wazwaz bet 50,000, and Sullivan called to see the   on the turn. Both players checked to the river  . Sullivan bet 85,000, and Wazwaz called. Sullivan showed    and it was good.

Hand #22: Robert Schmidt opened to 60,000 under the gun, and Aleksandr Gofman called to his left. The flop came    , Schmidt checked, Gofman bet 75,000 and Schmidt folded.

Hand #23: Schmidt got a walk.

Hand #24: Wazwaz opened to 75,000, and Gofman called in the big blind. The dealer laid out a flop of    , Gofman checked, Wazwaz bet125,000 and Gofman folded.

Jim Jakobsen Eliminated in 8th Place ($38,365)

Hand #16: Jim Jakobsen raised to 80,000 from under the gun and everyone folded, giving him the blinds and antes.

Hand #17: Peter Gould raised to 65,000 from middle position and won the pot.

Hand #18: Robert Schmidt raised to 60,000 from the cutoff and Aleksandr Gofman made the call. The flop was dealt    . Schmidt bet out 75,000 and Gofman called. The turn was the   and Schmidt fired again, this time for 120,000, and Gofman pushed all in to win the pot as Schmidt quickly let go of his hand.

Hand #19: Action folded all the way around and Gould got a walk. He showed   .

Hand #20: Jakobsen raised to 75,000 from the cutoff and Gould pushed all in. Jakobsen made the call and we had a race.

The flop was no good for Jakobsen, as it came down    . The turn   gave him a few more outs with the straight draw. But Gould faded all of the outs when the river was flipped over as the   and Jakobsen was eliminated in eighth place for $38,356.

Hands #11-15: Gould Puffing His Chest

Hand #11: Brett Shaffer raised to 50,000, Robert Schmidt made the call, and Peter Gould tagged along as well. The flop came    . Gould and Shaffer checked and Schmidt bet out 65,000. Gould called and Shaffer let go of his hand. The turn was the   and both players checked. The river delivered the   and Gould bet out 81,000 to take down the pot.

Hand #12: Jim Jakobsen opened to 80,000, and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #13: Gould opened to 65,000, RJ Sullivan moved all in for 600,000 out of the small blind, and Gould folded.

Hand #14: Action folded around to Rajaee Wazwaz, in the small blind, who opened to 80,000. Schafer then three-bet-shoved all in, and Wazwaz folded.

Hand #15: Aleksandr Gofman opened to 60,000, Gould three-bet from the hijack to 130,000, and Gofman called. The dealer fanned a     flop, Gofman checked, Gould bet 90,000, Gofman raised to 240,000, Gould moved all in and Gofman folded.

Steven McNally - 10th Place

RJ Sullivan raised it up to 50,000 from middle position and Steven McNally took a minute before pushing his stack all in from the big blind. Sullivan made the call with the bigger stand and McNally's tournament was at risk, though he was way ahead preflop.

McNally was safe and looking to double on the flop of     as well as the turn of   and his rail was excitedly anticipating his big double. Then Sullivan spiked the   on the river and McNally's supporters erupted with a loud, "Oh!"

McNally was eliminated in 10th place and earned $23,317 for his run.

Everyone Loves a Chop Pot; Not!

Robert Schmidt opened to 48,000, Aleksandr Gofman flatted to his left, and Steven McNally moved all in from late position for 314,000. Action folded around to Schmidt, who after a moment, made the call having McNally covered. Gofman then reraised all in covering Schmidt and Schmidt was forced to fold.

McNally was in deep trouble only having three-outs preflop. The dealer delivered the first three cards,     and McNally's pair of jacks was now in the lead. The turn brought the   and the odds turned against Mcnally, as now Gofman's pair of kings was ahead. The river left only chop outs or a jack for McNally and the river   saved his day. Chopping the pot with each having an ace-high straight.

Stout Doubles After Break

In the very first hand after break, Matt Stout pushed all in from middle position after Robert Schmidt opened under the gun. Schmidt made the call and the race was on.

Stout was needing to connect somehow to catch up to the pocket pair, and the flop of     was no help. The turn   was the wrong card for him, but the   on the river saved him from elimination.

Sullivan Doubles McNally

With fresh beers in the hands of his supporters on the rail, Steven McNally pushed all in from under the gun and found a call in Ronald Sullivan from middle position. Everyone else gave up their hands and we had a race.

The board ran out       and McNally scored the big double with his nines.

"Ahhh, that would've sucked if you busted just as we got these beers," his rail said.

"Yeah, these taste so much better now that you just doubled up," another supporter said.
