Players see a flop of    . The big blind checks. The player in middle position bets 1,200. Baysa calls. The big blind check-calls as well.

The turn is the  . The big blind checks again. The player in middle position continues with another bet of 3,500. Baysa calls. The big blind folds.

The   river completes the board. The player in middle position throws in a bet of 10,000. Baysa raises all in for 25,000. His opponent calls, putting at risk his last chips. 

Baysa turns over    for a flush and his opponent shows    for a set of queens before heading to the exit.

Max Young opens under the gun with a raise to 500 and action folds around to a player in middle position who three-bets, making it 1,700. Action folds back around to Young and he four-bets, making it 6,000. 

"I showed you a five last time," Young says to his opponent, mentioning a previous hand. The player calls and the two take a flop. 

The flop is     and Young continues with a bet of 5,500. The player in middle position calls. 

On the   turn, Young bets again, making it 8,000. Once more the player calls. 

On the   river, Young bets once more, moving all in for right around 18,000 with a covering stack on his opponent. The player tanks for about a minute before eventually tossing in the chips to call. Young shows down his    and his opponent tries to muck, but the dealer turns up his   

"He three-bet me like five times before this," Young says after the hand. Other players at the table explain that the two had a history together and in the last pot, Young four-bet and showed a five. Regardless, Young takes down the pot and chips up to over 70,000.

The turn brings the  . The player in middle position checks again. Staples moves all in for about 26,000. His opponent gives up his hand.

The flop is     and Dixon decides to lead, betting 1,100. Israelashvili calls will the other player in the hand folds. 

The turn is the   prompting a check from Dixon. Israelashvili decides to put out a bet of 4,000 which Dixon calls. 

The river is the   and Israelashvili bets again, making it 8,250. Dixon tanks for a bit but eventually calls. Israelashvili shows his    for just a pair of nines and Dixon has him beat with    for a pair of kings to take down the pot.

A player raises to 350 in middle position and Robbie Beck calls in the hijack seat. The blinds tag along as well creating a four-way pot. 

The flop is     and action checks to Beck who bets 625. The small blind folds but the big blind and middle position player both call. 

All three players check on the   turn and they check again on the   river. Beck shows down his    and his opponents muck, so with bottom pair he is awarded the pot.

All three players check down on the   turn as well as the   river. The cutoff shows down his    and that earns him the pot when Sitton and the small blind both muck.

There is over 20,000 already in the pot on the river in a pot between Justin Harvell and Mike Wang. The board is       and Harvell checks over to Wang. Wang thinks it over for a bit before he decides to check back. Harvell shows down his    for ace-high, but Wang is holding    for two pair. 

"What happened to me winning the next one?" Harvell asks. "That's the only reason I raised the flop. You lied to me." 

Wang smiles as he rakes in the pot.

A player in early position raises to 400 and finds a call from the player in the small blind as well as Maurice Hawkins in the big blind. 

The flop is     and action checks to the original raiser who bets 525. The small blind calls but Hawkins decides to raise, making it 1,550. Both opponents call and it's on to the turn. 

On the   turn, action checks to the original raiser once again. He bets 3,000 but this time only Hawkins calls. 

The river is the   and now both players check. Hawkins shows his    and it's good to earn him the pot as his opponent mucks.

With 1,600 in the pot the player bets 1,000 and action folds to Justin Harvell who's in early position. He thinks for a bit then decides to check-raise, making it 3,300. The middle position player calls. 

The turn is the   and Harvell continues, making it 7,000. The middle position player flashes his   and folds his hand.

"Not a good flop for my hand," the player says afterwards. "I had ace-king of hearts." 

"That's a tough fold," Harvell says.

The turn is the   and Phan checks again. The cutoff player now bets 600. Phan thinks for a moment and raises to 1,800. The cutoff player calls. 

On the   river, Phan now leads out for 4,000. The cutoff thinks about it for a bit, then eventually decides to call. Phan shows his    for a pair of twos, but the cutoff player is holding [As.6d] and that earns him the pot.

Welcome to Day 1B of the Main Event at Harrah's Cherokee.

Yesterday, Day 1A drew 417 entries. When the day ended, 50 remained, led by Mike Vanier (pictured above) with 773,000. Today, another group of players will try to challenge that mark.

Here is a look at the details:

  • Buy in: $1,700 
  • Flight 1A begins on Friday, April 19th at 11 a.m.
  • Players will begin with 30,000 in tournament chips. 
  • Blinds start off at 50/100
  • Levels 1-15 are 40-minutes long and Levels 16+ are 60-minutes long
  • Players will have a 15-minute break after levels 3, 6, 12, and 15. 
  • There will be a one-hour dinner break after level 9. 
  • Registration will be open until the start on level 13.
  • Players are allowed one re-entry per flight for a total of four entries total.
  • Day 1 will play through 17 levels. 
  • Players will return with the survivors of Flight 1B on Sunday, April 21st at 12 p.m.
  • The winner of this event will receiver a WSOPC Gold Ring as well as a seat in the Global Casino Championship.
