The first of two starting flights in the 2019 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Cherokee has come to a conclusion after 17 levels of play. There were 417 players who put up the $1,700 to enter the first flight of the tournament and only 50 players remained by the end of the night.

Big names littered today's field and at the end of the day, it is Mike Vanier who bagged the chip lead with a stack of 773,000. Vanier has over $200,000 in WSOP earnings. He is followed closely by bracelet winner Greg Raymer with 724,000. Drew McIlvain rounds up the top three with 651,000.

Other notables to advance chip stacks to Day 2 include bracelet winner Warren Sheaves (88,000), ring winners T.K. Miles (332,000), John Holley (287,000), Marshall White (160,000) and Chris Conrad (72,000)

Players that were not fortunate enough to make it to the end of the day include bracelet winners Loni Harwood, Ryan D’Angelo, and Jared Jaffee.

The second flight of the Main Event will begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. local time with registration and re-entries being open until the start of level 13.

The 50 players that survived will return for Day 2 at 12:00 PM local time on Sunday April 21st along with all of tomorrow’s Day 1B survivors.

During the final three hands a player was eliminated and play concluded for the day with 50 players remaining. Bagging what appears to be the chip lead if Mike Vanier who has 773,000. Vanier is followed closely by Greg Raymer with 724,000 and Drew McIlvain with 651,000.

Players are now playing three more hands to end the night. The three hands are being played hand for hand. If a player is to bust in those three hands, play will conclude early as 12% of the field will have been reached.

Danny Wilson opens in early position with a raise to 12,500 and action folds around to the hijack where Max Young moves all in with a covering stack. Action folds back to Wilson who thinks for a bit then calls all in, putting himself at risk for 112,500.

The board runs out       and Wilson makes a set on the flop leaving no trace of a sweat. Wilson doubles to around 250,000 while Young is left with just over 50,000.

T.K. Miles limps in from the small blind and the player in the big blind checks his option. 

The flop is pQd,Jh,4c] and Miles puts out a bet of 7,000 which the player in the big blind calls. 

Both players check on the   turn as well as the   river and Miles shows his    for a rivered pair. It's good as his opponent's cards hit the muck and Miles scoops the pot to chip up to around 310,000.

Max Young opens in middle position with a raise to 9,000 and action folds around to the big blind where Mike Myers three-bets making it 48,000. Action is back on Young who thinks for a bit, then moves all in for 222,000 more. 

The dealer counts out Young's stack as Myers is in the tank. 

"Sounds like I have pocket twos," Young says as the dealer announces the raise of 222,000 more. Myers tanks for quite some time but eventually calls putting Young at risk and creating a nearly 600,000 chip pot.

The board runs out       and both players have the same hand so they chop the pot. 

"Scary call there with ace-king," Young says after the hand. 

"I was thinking you might have tens or jacks," Myers says. 

"I'll tell you what I'd never have in that spot," Young says. "Ace-queen. It would've been nice if I really did have pocket twos."

A player moves all in before the flop and action folds to Marie Harrell on the button who calls all in for 27,000. The player in the small blind then calls as well putting both players at risk.

The flop comes     which gives Harrell all the outs in the world with any king or club now doing the trick. The turn is the   and that ends matters quickly. Harrell makes a straight flush so the   on the river is meaningless. With that, she triples up and stays alive here in the main event while the player holding pocket sixes earns a small side pot.

At the table of Nitis Udornpim, Tyler Phillips, and Warren Sheave, the three players collectively recount a hand history, but with much disagreement between the three of them. 

According to Udornpim he opened with a raise to 9,000. He said he was holding   .

"The nine of hearts is important," he mentions. 

The big blind and small blind both call. 

Action checked to Udornpim on the     flop and he bet 22,000. What happens next is up for debate. 

"Small blind folds and the big blind raises, making it 95,000 with like 110,000 behind," Udornpim explains, explaining the big blind's action. 

"No, he made it like 115," Phillips says. 

"Yeah it was like 110 with 90 behind," Sheaves says. 

Udornpim explained that eventually he moved all in for the extra bit. 

"This guy tanked for three-minutes before he sigh calls," Udornpim says. 

"It was like 35 seconds," Phillips says. 

The player called and showed his    leaving Udornpim crushed. The turn was the   though which did give Udornpim some extra outs and the river was the   which made Udornpim trips and allowed him to take down the massive pot. 

"He stuck it all in with the worst hand and no fold equity and he got there," Phillips says.

"Undeserving opponent gets boxed," Udornpim says. "And now we have 500k."

Action folds around to the blinds where Peter Vitantonio limps in from the small blind. John Holley is in the big blind and he moves all in for right around 80,000 effective. Vitantonio called.

The board runs out       and Holley pairs his jack to send Vitantonio to the rail. 

"I made a really bad shove," Holley says after the hand. "But we had played a lot together before and I just figure it's better to shove with his stack size."

Despite what Holley said was a bad shove, it was a good result for him as he chips up to over 200,000.

On the   turn, both players check again. Bjerno makes it 16,000. The player in the small blind folds while the big blind calls. 

"What do you have?" Bjerno asks.

The river is the   and both players check, The big blind shows his    for a rivered flush and Bjerno mucks. 

"Open ended straight flush draw," the big blind says. "I told you, some hands I just wont get away from."

Bjerno drops to just under 60,000 after the hand.

The flop is     and action checks through to the   on the turn. There, Raymer puts out a probe bet of 5,000. The player in the hijack calls while the cutoff folds. 

The river is the   and Raymer bets again, making it 12,000. The player calls quickly. 

"I can't beat your king," Raymer says, mucking. The player tables his    to earn the pot and that puts Raymer down to about 130,000.
