Only six remain in the Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event and there are some heavy hitters among the final six players shaping it up to be an exciting final table.
Sitting at the bottom of the pack is Barbara Sargent who has nearly $50,000 in World Series of Poker earnings dating back to 2014 and this cash in the main event will almost double that amount already. She'll start on the button when Day 3 kicks of with 1,025,000 chips. Viet Vo recently won a World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at The Rio in Las Vegas, taking dow his second career ring and sits in fifth place with 1,200,000 chips.
Coming into Day 3 in fourth place is Trey Brabham. Brabham won a World Series of Poker Circuit ring back in 2013 and has amassed over $160,000 in cashes over his career at the WSOP. This is his best circuit main event finish to this date, but he has had some strong performances at the WSOP as well with a 4th place finish in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em event. Brabham will start the day with 2,395,000 chips.
Kou Vang sits in fourth place and has made quite a splash recently in tournaments outside of the WSOP but has plenty of sucess at the WSOP as well. Vang has over $200,000 in World Series of Poker earnings as a circuit ring dating back to 2008 where he won a $1,500 event at The Horseshoe in Council Bluffs. Vang would earn his best World Series of Poker cash with a finish of fourth place or better. Vang begins day three with 3,240,000 chips.
Coming into the day in second place is Phillip Pope who is the least accomplished of this group when it comes to World Series of Poker success. Pope is locking up his largest cash of his career so far by a large margin, but he could carve out his name in World Series of Poker history with a victory today. Pope currently sits with 3,300,000 in chips.
And finally, in first place currently, is Maurice Hawkins. Hawkins has a list of accomplishments at the World Series of Poker, on the circuit and otherwise, much to long to list in just a short blurb, but to summarize, 11 World Series of Poker Circuit rings, 4 Circuit Main Event Wins, $2,122,675 in World Series of Poker Earnings, and 106 World Series of Poker cashes. Hawkins makes his fourth final table of this stop alone and with a victory could tie the record for most World Series of Poker Circuit rings once again. Hawkins sits with 4,860,000 in chips and leads the pack by over a million.
Action is set to begin at 12 p.m. local time and these six will battle down to a winner. There is $215,000 up for grabs for the winner as well as a World Series of Poker Circuit ring and a seat in the Global Casino Championship. Currently players are guaranteed at least $41,300.
