Joe McKeehen, Event #1 Winner
2015 WSOP Main Event Champion, Joe McKeehen, has added more gold to his collection on Friday afternoon, after taking down Event #1, $400 No-Limit Hold’em Double Stack, at the World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harrah’s Atlantic City.
He topped a field of 172 players to take home his third Circuit ring as well as the first-place prize of $15,328.
The 27-year old poker pro, with over $10 million in WSOP cashes, now has two bracelets and three WSOP Circuit rings and is going for more. Indeed, McKeehen is planning to take a shot at all the events of the Circuit stop at Harrah’s Atlantic City.
“It feels great,” he said after his win.

Day 1 of Event #1 is in the books. Out of 172 entrants, only 18 remain. Leading the way is Iverson Cotton Snuffer with 945,000. The remaining players are all guaranteed $761 but they will all have their eyes on the WSOP gold ring and first place prize of $15,328.
They will be returning on Friday, March 8th, at 1 p.m. local time, to continue to battle it out until a winner is crowned.

The late-registration period for Event #1 is over, and with that, the payouts have been calculated. This two-day event attracted 172 entries, generating a total prizepool of $56,760. The top 18 finishers will cash, with each assured at least $761. A champion will be crowned tomorrow and will receive $15,328 as well as a WSOP Circuit ring.

The 2018-19 World Series of Poker Circuit stop at Harrah's Atlantic City hits the ground running with a two-day tournament featuring 30-minute levels throughout. Cards will be in the air for Event #1: $400 Double Stack No-Limit Hold'em at 12:00 p.m. and the first gold ring of the series will be handed out tomorrow.
