JJ De La Garza
The $580 no-limit hold'em got down to heads-up pretty quickly, but the battle between JJ De La Garza and Kathleen Solowitz was far from short. After playing heads-up for about 20 minutes to end Wednesday's action, the two battled for another four hours on Thursday before De La Garza emerged victorious.
De La Garza came into the final day with a slight chip lead, but a couple unfortunate river cards in some preflop all ins forced De La Garza to battle back from an approximate 3-to-1 chip deficit after Solowitz regained the lead. As the blinds got bigger and the stacks got shallower, De La Garza retook the lead and in the end, his king-four held up against Solowitz's queen-jack to secure the title.
De La Garza earned $15,000 for his win and Solowitz left with $9,270.

JJ De La Garza
At the end of the 21 scheduled levels of play, there were just two players remaining in the fourth event of the series. John Joshua De La Garza finished the night heads-up with the chip lead over Kathleen Solowitz.
Solowitz eliminated Haik Kyurumyan in third place at the start of the last level of the night to begin heads-up play against De La Garza with a massive chip lead. De La Garza scored a double up early on and then won most of the pots that didn't go to showdown to end the night with a slight chip lead.
De La Garza will come back with 705,000 compared to Solowitz's 495,000. They will return on Thursday at 1 p.m. to blinds of 6,000/12,000 with a 2,000 ante. This is Solowitz's second final table and third cash of the young series.
The runner-up will take home $9,270 and to the victor goes $15,000 and a Circuit ring.
