Andrew Wisdom hopes to be the first of many breakthroughs from a group of barely legal poker pros. The 23-year-old came out on top of one of the toughest fields of the series, beating a field of 71 entries in the $3,250 no-limit hold’em high roller event.
The San Diego native won his first ring and $72,420 after defeating Brandon Zuidema, another young pro and friend of Wisdom, heads-up.
“I’m still replaying a lot of hands in my head right now,” said Wisdom. “But it feels great to be able to finish with one of my buddies Brandon and I’m still kind of in shock.
