Event #11: $1,675 MAIN EVENT - $1M Guarantee

From a starting field of 845 entries, just 12 players remain as Day 2 comes to a close.

Thanks to a huge pot during the last level of the night, Fernando Galvan (pictured) will bring the big stack into the event's final day. Galvan bagged up 2,555,000, giving him more than 85 big blinds at the Day 3 starting level.

The day began with Almedin Imsirovic atop the counts, and he parlayed his big stack into a Day 3 appearance, as well. Imsirovic finished with 1,495,000 chips, good for fifth place at the moment.

Recent ring winners Marcin Milde (1,590,000) and Neil Scott (1,040,000) also advanced, as did the last lady left, Melanie Banfield (1,325,000).

The list of those who fell during Day 2 is a long one littered with bracelet winners, ring winners, and other tournament poker standouts.

Two-time bracelet winner Scott Clements was among the first to fall, soon joined on the rail by the likes of Marshall White, Jim Willerson, Barry Shulman, Cliff Goldkind, Kevin Eyster, and the Circuit's all-time co-leader in wins, Valentin Vornicu.

The bubble arrived during the third level of the day, with Charlie Harder earning the unfortunate title of Bubble Boy. Harder shoved pocket queens into Jordan Cristos' ace-ten, and an ace on the flop sent Harder to the exit. His departure left the 90 remaining players in the money.

Some of those who cashed but did not last the night include Giuseppe Pantaleo, Sorel Mizzi, Woody Moore, Jon Turner, Andrew Teng, Wendy Freedman, and the defending champion Sean Yu.

Cristos himself ran deep into the night before falling in 28th place, just shy of the final three tables. Between then and the end of play, plenty more heroes were sent packing, too, including Eric Baldwin, Ankush Mandavia, Brett Bader, Bryan Devonshire, Jack Duong, Jonathan Dimmig, Joe Reddick, and Ryan Olisar.

The 12 players who did survive the long day will return to action on Monday to play down to a winner. Blinds will be 15,000/30,000 with a 5,000 ante when play resumes, putting the average stack at a lofty 47 big blinds.

Everyone left is guaranteed to earn at least $18,924, but there's much more to play for than that. The winner will collect the series' most desirable ring and the top payout of $247,160.

Day 3 begins at 12 p.m.

On the turn of a      board, Eric Coffman (pictured, early position) and Fernando Galvan are involved in what will become a huge pot. There's close to 300,000 in the middle already as Galvan bets 156,000. Coffman calls to see the river.

It's the  . Galvan bets another 253,000, and Coffman raises all in for 1,250,000 total. Galvan has that barely covered, and he squirms in his seat for several long minutes before calling to put Coffman at risk.

Coffman shows    for a pair of tens that he likely knows is no good. Galvan tables   , winning the enormous pot with a flush. He surges into the overall chip lead in the process, sending Coffman to the rail in 13th place.

Jack Duong is all-in for his last 300,000 and Fernando Galvan calls.

Duong tables pocket eights, but unfortunately for him he's up against Galvan's pocket tens.

The board runs out       and Duong can't get any help, sending him home in 15th place.

Bryan Devonshire (pictured) moves all in for 283,000 second to act, and Roger Franco re-shoves for around 650,000 right behind him. The rest of the table folds, and Devonshire is heads-up, at risk, and dominated.

The     flop keeps things interesting, as Devonshire trades three outs for nine to a flush. The   on the turn adds three more chop outs, too, but he can not catch up. The river is the  , giving the pot to Franco and sending "Devo" to the payout desk in 16th place.

Action is folded around to the blinds where Stephen Buell (pictured) completes in the small and Melanie Banfield checks her option in the big.

The flop is    , and Buell checks. Banfield bets 40,000, Buell check-raises all in for around 200,000 total, and Banfield calls to put him at risk.

Banfield's top pair has her in the lead, and the   turn and   river keep it that way. She wins the pot to cross into seven figures, eliminating Buell in 18th place.

Joe Reddick (pictured) lost three consecutive pots, and the last of them sent him to the cashier in 21st place.

In the first hand, Reddick opens the button to 44,000, and Eric Coffman three-bets to 115,000 in the small blind. Reddick calls. The flop is    , and Coffman continues for 80,000. Reddick calls again, and they both check through the   turn. The river is the  , and Coffman bets 145,000. Reddick calls. Coffman shows    for a pair of aces, and his kicker makes it count. Reddick flashes the   as he mucks.

The next hand, Stephen Buell open-shoves for 123,000 under the gun with   , and Reddick puts him at risk with    in the cutoff. The board runs out      , and Buell rivers a straight to double up.

That leaves Reddick with just 119,000 chips after paying the ante on the next hand, and he three-bet shoves for that amount behind a Jack Duong open to 50,000. Duong calls the remainder, putting Reddick at risk.

Genki Nakano opens to 50,000 from early position and Mark Ioli three-bets to 125,000 from middle position. Nakano shoves for about 300,000 and Ioli calls.

Chip leader Harjinder Gandham limps under the gun, and Eric Baldwin raises to 60,000 next to act. A couple seats over, Joe Reddick four-bet shoves for his last 354,000. Gandham tanks and calls, and Baldwin re-shoves for what looks like 890,000 total. Gandham shrugs and calls again, putting both opponents at risk.

Baldwin is better than a coin flip against the two copy hands, but he can not stave off elimination. The board runs out      , and his two opponents chop up the main pot with the same hand, eights full of kings.

Gandham wins the side pot, as well, earning a big profit and sending Baldwin to the exit in 24th place.
