Joshua Evans

Tulsa, Okla. (20 March 2017) — The three-ring club now has a new member. Joshua won his third career World Series of Poker Circuit ring Sunday night with a victory at the Hard Rock Tulsa. Evans won Event #3: $365 No-Limit Hold’em (One Day), earning $20,374 for his victory.

Winning has become habit for Evans, but he says it never gets old. “It always feels good to get first,” he said after the event. “Only one guy’s going to be happy at the end of a tournament.”

Despite his history of success, it’s been awhile since Evans’s last victory on the Circuit. Before this event, his last victory was in September, 2013. In the three and half years since then, he’s has 25 Circuit cashes without tasting victory.

Winning an event early in this Circuit series has Evans thinking about changing his plans. “
I was going to go home (to Texas) and come back for the Main Event here. But now I think I might stick around to chase points and try to win Casino Champion.” He’s off to a strong start, and currently sits in second place on the Casino Champion leaderboard behind Jerry Rushing.
