Askia Ingram takes down the Black Chip Bounty

The winner of the $365 No-Limit Hold'em Black Chip Bounty is Askia Ingram of Springfield. He locked up $6,998 for the win, but most importantly earned himself his first ever World Series of Poker Circuit ring. Ingram also earned himself eight bounties worth $100 a piece.

Ingram found himself heads-up against 2017's WSOP Tulsa Main Event champion Will Berry and managed to seal the deal. Ingram put Berry to the test holding pocket fives and Berry was flipping for his tournament life with king-seven off-suit.The flop brought a five and Berry was left drawing dead by the turn. Berry pocketed $4,327 for his deep run today.

When talking about his strategy, Ingram said he spoke with a good friend and player about it. “I talked to one of my friends, kind of pow-wow chatted with him. Hand ranges and stuff. I do very well in tournaments. The other cashes were bigger, but this means the most because it's a ring” explained Ingram. He mostly plays cash games, but is in the hunt for more points and more rings.

Other notable players to make the final table in this event included John Reynolds (5th - $1,716), Abraham Araya (8th - $792) and Bob Mather (10th - $513).
